Transfers

Submitted by baleedat on
Just curious, has anybody heard anything about possible transfers after this season? Sam Webb said a couple of guys didn't travel with the team to Minnesota, and that that could be a possible indication they plan to transfer. Does anyone have any inside info (or care to speculate)?

Speculation: A running back. We have a couple on the roster that we haven't heard from, and likely never will (Cox and Horn). I wouldn't be surprised to see one of them take off. Carlos Brown is another possibility. We have so much depth at RB and those guys are a diff style than RR wants.

Butler is actually getting decent PT at DE despite just switching to the position a few weeks ago; the running back position is what is overloaded with people, so that would be the first place I'd expect any transfers. Always want these kids to stay at Michigan, contribute, and get a good education, but if they choose to leave, best of luck to them.

as a general rule, find players who aren't true freshmen at positions that rotate a lot of bodies in but find themselves behind players that are younger than them. QBs: The Coner(!) RBs: Horn, Brown (injury related maybe), Grady (probably not). TEs: Watson DL: Patterson, Kates LB: Herron That is all mondo speculation.

Coner's got a cushy job, and a free top-notch education to boot. I've grown fond of him as our scholarship hand-gesturer. The red wristbands this year make him seem like those ground crews with the red flashlights on tarmacs directing planes. Fitting since Dual Threet's agility is somewhere in the general vicinity of a grounded 747. Coner's from out of state right? Something like Georgia? Tuition for us out-of-state UM fans is pretty hefty. I was seriously considering going to UM until they gave me something like $250 total in financial aid. As long as RR doesn't yank his scholarship, I see Cone's impeccable hand gesturing leading the team out of the tunnel for years to come.

I think, and I could be wrong here, that he tries to imitate the shape of the clouds during the game. This way, Sherithreagin will know what weather is coming. Brewski means it's gonna rain, doobie indicates a bit cloudy, and punches signal thunderstorms.

I spent a week in LA/Vegas this summer, as part of my post-graduation pre-work month of bliss. Definitely wouldn't mind trading NYC's nasty ass hot and humid summers for SoCal's hot but dry climate, but family/girlfriend/job are all northeast US. I must say though, Cali never disappoints. Only thing better than running in the annual UCLA Undie Run (with a sprinkling of sorority girls going "undies only") was the 4x4 at In-N-Out after. Dare I say, I will lay down the gauntlet. If you are ever on the east coast, I will make you a burger that is comparable, if not better than, In-N-Out.

There are pictures on the internet of the 100x100. If someone could photoshop Charlie in there, I think it would be a fantastic contribution to society. And, I can print out a life-sized version and tape it to the giant 8' 40-Year Old Virgin cardboard promo sitting in my friend's apartment. He loves ND as much as I love fuck-lions.

Does Cone have actual responsibilities when he is gesturing? or is he always the dummy signal? Not that I know Michigan's signals or anything, but his gestures always look made up. It's mean, but I have to laugh at the notion that he can't even be trusted to be the real signal-signing guy.
