On Topic: Goose gets Loose at Tigers game
Lone goose decides Comerica Park would be a fun place to hangout, hilarity ensues.
Maybe ND can sign the duck?
Looks like the goose has a drinking problem.
I've been too busy listening to Weezer's version of Toto's Africa on repeat for the last 24 hours straight.
It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you...
Think back to your preschool or kindergarden days and spirited games of "duck, duck, goose". Ducks will just sit there, but you tap a goose and they're after you. My last name is Gies (rhymes with the bird) and I was always running in this game. Once one kid would duck duck "geese" me, every other kid would do the same to great hilarity. (I ran track and CC in high school, PG on the Bball team,...just sayin)
And I have yet to get an explination for this, although many angry stares.
Last time I saw a goose loose at a Tigers game it didn't want to walk Gibson.
To be fair to Gossage, Parrish was the next batter, as I recall, and he homered off him in the previous inning, so it isn't like he had a lot of wonderful choices. I am glad that Gossage made the choice that he did though.
just visiting relatives and all those eggs on the Tigers line score.......
All he was trying to do was leave Detroit to fly south back to his native Canada.
Luckily he didn't fly into a fastball hurled by the Big Unit.....
Didn't he win the derby?
/cool story
I was at this game and saw this in real time. It was hilarious especially since the bird ended up being OK.
Those bread-fed city geese aren't worth eating anyway.
