Tom - wide receivers?

I've noticed that you've been following the receivers of this class pretty closely, probably because we are after so many. If someone had a gun to your head, who would you say are our 2009 wide receivers are, if any?

Well this has played out kind of weird. Everything has changed, and will probably continue to change. But, here's what I think...... Cameron Gordon, I can't see us losing to State or Iowa, but I'm almost positive if he chooses M, we'll move him to D. Je'Ron Stokes, I think we had a good shot with him, until Lane Kiffin came in at Tennessee. I think Lane is going to make sure he stays. There's still a chance, but I think he stays with his commitment. Willie Haulstead, as you can see from my interview with him, he doesn't want to give up too much. I know Beaver has been in his ear telling him to come. I'm just not sure we can pull him out of Florida. We have a decent shot though. http://www.mgoblog.com/diaries/willie-haulstead-interview Jamal Patterson, I think we have a really good shot with him. The fact that he's been so persistent on coming for a visit. I think it would've helped A LOT had he been able to make it this past weekend. That game, and the atmosphere would have done a lot for him, to be able to see how crazy it is. My fear is that he comes in on an off weekend, and doesn't get to see any excitement, or fans that make the environment so great. To pull a kid away will take the "wow" factor. Bryce McNeal, I don't know what he's doing anymore. He's got an ego, and to be nice, I don't think too highly of how he holds himself. He hasn't even graduated high school yet, and he was already talking to me about winning the Biletnikoff. I like swagger and confidence, but not ego, not me before the team. Dewayne Peace, last time I talked to him he didn't seem to enthused about taking visits. He didn't seem like it was a big priority, and I know his Dad wants him to keep his commitment. But, a player taking visits scares me. Reuben Randle....zzzzzzzz Kenny Bell, he's committed to LSU, but he could still take visits. We're still going after Denard Robinson, and one of his teammates that's a WR, but I've never talked with them. I follow them closely, because it's going to be a big deal for probably the next two years. Jeremy Jackson and Ricardo Miller will get there for 2010, but it will be nice to have some depth, and not force them to make plays right away. Although both of them will tell you that they're coming in right away, and will be starting from day one. (that's the kind of swagger I like) So to answer your question, this is a mess. I have no idea. There's been so much that has changed. If I had to guess, Cameron Gordon, Willie Haulstead, and Jamal Patterson are probably our best bets. Like I said Gordon won't play receiver though.

excellent breakdown. Also, I like the honesty on the attitudes. That's the sort of inside information that makes it a lot more interesting to follow recruits and to see their effect on team dynamics when they sign somewhere, etc. Keep us posted. It seems like this past weekend had some good activity between Will reaffirming his michigan love and the positive comments out of McPhee.
