Tom Brady totally cleared out the suite that his family uses at Gillette Stadium in a manner that he has never done before.  He may be done in New England or is using this as some sort of leverage.

My guess is he goes to Carolina or Tampa Bay. Just a hunch. As a Bengals fan, I would love for Burrow to learn for a year behind him. I do not think he will go to LA or any other team in the Northeast.

Brady by his own account isn’t the most sentimental of guys. If he feels that his Pats days are over and he isn’t wanted anymore, he’ll have zero problem suiting up for another team.

Hell, he’ll enjoy the chance to show he can win without Belichick.

I can’t see Brady going anywhere other than retiling or staying in NE. Would be like if Jeter left the Yankees. He’s a NE institution.

But Manning left Indy so I suppose it’s possible. If Brady does leave though, I don’t think he’d go anywhere that wasn’t already built to win right now. So a place like Tampa is probably out of the question. Cincinnati especially. Brady is working against time so he can’t spend 1-2 years waiting for a franchise to get built up around him.

Brady has two options:

1. Go to some other shitty franchise, get the crap beat out of him like Montana, Unitas, and Namath did, sustain a concussion or two, and then retire.

2. Retire now more or less at the top of the heap with his brains unscrambled, build a Scrooge McDuck money bin to contain all the loot he and his wife have made, and relax with the kids.

People underrate what a pathologically competitive person some of these athletes are, and it’s a large reason why they are successful.  There’s a reason Peyton went to Denver, MJ and Serena and Favre and Phelps came back and Tiger worked through all those injuries and the scandal.  They’re just wired differently

Maybe. It's also possible that they love what they do and want to continue as long as they can do it at a high level. Being the best may mean less to Tom Brady than continuing to an age he's set or a situation that promises stimulation. That wouldn't be terribly pathological. . . just logical.

We’re gonna act like Manning won them the Super Bowl? When Manning was on HGH, the Broncos got embarrassed by the legion of boom. He then proceeded to get carried by Von Miller having an MVP season and game against Carolina when Manning got caught using HGH

In a manner he has never done before? What does that mean?

Did he walk in with a big cardboard box and put everything in it by sweeping his arm across all the flat surfaces in the suite?

I don't think Brady is done (at least in his mind) and I can't imagine him playing anywhere but New England. I bet he's back there for at least one more year, maybe two, and Belichick finds a QB to groom, either Stidham the current backup, or via draft/trade.

Brady seems to think his vegan diet and special training make him invulnerable to the effects of aging. I think anything other than retirement is pure silliness at this point.

He has been as close to invulnerable as anyone has ever been in the NFL. He knows it won’t last forever, but he can play at a high level for longer than anyone else.

It’s not a surprise to me that he’s doing well with his diet. Look at the evidence on the benefits of veganism- there’s a lot of it.

Meh, I think the science pretty conclusively says that what matters most is caloric intake and proper food nutrients. If you eat too much, you gonna get fat. If you eat more reasonably, you won't. Eating nutritionally dense food is a given.

However, if eating a vegan diet help you stick more closely to your daily macros and drives better adherence, then good on you. At the end of the day though, it doesn't really matter what diet you choose. Choose one that works for you.

After the crap receivers the Pats have surrounded him with lately, he might like to go somewhere where he has someone to throw the ball to.

Edelman is a great slot receiver (at least when Brady is throwing the ball).  But he can't be the only guy on offense catching passes.

I see Brady going to some team that is well stocked but is lacking QB play.  There is bound to be someone.

Think his preferred option is to stay in NE, however, he is going to want them to upgrade at the WR position and get him some play makers. If NE does not look like they are going to do this, then I could see him playing somewhere else next year.

I love TB, have since I saw him beat Sparty on a glorious Sept Saturday at the Big House in 1998.  As Pats season tix holder have seen virtually every game he's started including 2 SB's (bad ones in AZ and Indy) and will forever have great memories during an unprecedented 20 year run of success.  However, like all great things, they come to an end.  If he moves on, wish him nothing but good luck, but it's time for the Pats to turn the page.  Hell, I'd be happy to see them strip it down to next to nothing, go 2-14 and draft Lawrence next year to start the next run.
