Tom Brady With Another Incredible Comeback Victory. Throws game winning touchdown with 3 seconds left in 17-16 victory. 🏈

Submitted by Indy Pete - Go Blue on December 5th, 2022 at 11:25 PM

This one came down to the wire between Tampa Bay and New Orleans. The Saints had a 97% win probability leading 16-3 with 4 minutes to go.  But Tom and company scored two passing touchdowns in exactly 3 minutes (3:03 and 0:03) to win the game 17-16. Tom marched the team down the field with clutch throw after clutch throw.  He also overcame an offensive holding penalty when he threw an incredible dart for the game-winning touchdown from the 5 yard line with 19 seconds to go. He overcame that with a 9 yard dime to Chris Godwin and then 6 yard a game-winner to Rachael White.  Tom Brady is 45 years-old, but continues to play the game at the highest level. This win puts his team at 6-6, 1st place in the NFC South, 1.5 games above Atlanta.

i actually watched the last 20+ minutes of this game.  i have never seen so many professional receivers drop so many balls.  great throws by brady, time and again....dropped.   that said, julio jones caught one down about the 5 yd line with ~40 seconds left that was an absolute dandy of a catch.

tom terrific, yet again living up to the living legend status.

Well I watched pretty much the entire game, and Tom played like poop most of the game too.  His O line can't block anything it can't hold (Smith, srsly.... learn the rules!), his RBs are slow, his awesome wideouts aren't playing so awesome... but still, he has lots of errant throws, doesn't scare the D when he tries to go over the top... generally for most of the game he was pissed b/c he was playing miserably himself.

Then the last five minutes were like... oh right he's STILL the G.O.A.T.

You can pass the baton to me and I'll finish the season off for you. I'm CA based so the travel isn't as bad.

I've been to every game since The Game (and I threw in the little brother game for good measure). I've already got Fiesta Bowl tickets and SoFi is only 200 miles from home( or a 3-12 hour drive depending on LA traffic) so I'll be there if/when we beat TCU.

The division stinks ...... but if such a bet existed, I'd bet right now on the NFC South Champ straight-up against Dallas in the first round of the playoffs.

Whether it's 9-8 Tampa Bay or 8-9 Carolina (it could be the latter, their schedule really isn't that tough and if they win at TB, their toughest game, they'd have the head-to-head sweep) ..... it's setting up for (1) a Dallas playoff choke for the 11th consecutive time since they actually made a Super Bowl and/or (2) another playoff run for Brady.

Shoot, I would take TB over everyone in the NFC playoffs, except for the Eagles.  Philly would probably run them by 21.  But otherwise there are no real scary NFC teams.

I have it on DVR but I stopped watching after they scored to make it 16-10 with 3:00 left, but did not delete it yet.  They just had almost no life and it looked over.  I guess I will have to watch the rest of it.  I record all games that I watch just in case something like this happens, or to go back and watch and FF thru the commercials, etc.

I was at this game. Nearly fell asleep almost all game until the wild finish.

This game completed my 3 day trifecta (which is probably why I am so tired)...

Michigan on Saturday

Lions on Sunday

Tom Brady on Monday

For anyone keeping track of my itinerary, Wings-Lightning tomorrow, back to California Wednesday, and then back to Detroit Saturday for the Lions and Pistons on Sunday.

first, welcome. second, again, all-world game and travel itinerary.  hat tip to you.

third, a photo diary (or dairy, if you're a farmer like me) isn't some formal piece, it's more of a journal of trip highlights and throw in some relevant photos. heck, you even saw a lions win, almost as rare as a buckeye with more than 8-12 teeth.   and as i think about it, if you're so moved, the 3 1/2 weeks we have until the TCU game can be some starved time for content.  maybe drop a shorter write-up on the 'diaries' section and i bet folks love it.  i'm sure i would.

where in socal do you live (not a creepy close, but general area)?

go blue, keep us in the loop, have fun, beat TCU.

I chuckle when I think back to watching in 1998 Syracuse massacre (we were down 38-7 until three 4th Q TDs made it close). At that time, Brady was only 2 games into his starting career and many (myself included) were wondering if it was just time to go with "the future" (Drew Henson) after we started 0-2.

The guy has proven so many people so wrong. I would not want to face him as a playoff favorite. The way it looks now, TB could be hosting Dallas (I think the Div winners get a home game, even if the wildcard has the better record?).

Keep on keeping on, Tommy!

Hahaha! What a dichotomy of opinions! I had a random sports talk show on this morning briefly and they were lamenting about how bad Brady looks "his latest comeback win notwithstanding." Me? I'm of the opinion that it doesn't matter how you look as long as you get the W. That's what I loved about Cade. That's what I love about TB12.

Tom is amazing.  There are no superlatives that do him justice.
