Tom Brady With Another Incredible Comeback Victory. Throws game winning touchdown with 3 seconds left in 17-16 victory. 🏈
This one came down to the wire between Tampa Bay and New Orleans. The Saints had a 97% win probability leading 16-3 with 4 minutes to go. But Tom and company scored two passing touchdowns in exactly 3 minutes (3:03 and 0:03) to win the game 17-16. Tom marched the team down the field with clutch throw after clutch throw. He also overcame an offensive holding penalty when he threw an incredible dart for the game-winning touchdown from the 5 yard line with 19 seconds to go. He overcame that with a 9 yard dime to Chris Godwin and then 6 yard a game-winner to Rachael White. Tom Brady is 45 years-old, but continues to play the game at the highest level. This win puts his team at 6-6, 1st place in the NFC South, 1.5 games above Atlanta.

Should have been MVP last season.

Kid's got a great future ahead of him.

Yeah, if he can ever find a beautiful woman to marry.

i actually watched the last 20+ minutes of this game. i have never seen so many professional receivers drop so many balls. great throws by brady, time and again....dropped. that said, julio jones caught one down about the 5 yd line with ~40 seconds left that was an absolute dandy of a catch.
tom terrific, yet again living up to the living legend status.

Was it "Do your fucking job and catch the fucking ball!"?
December 6th, 2022 at 7:24 AM ^
Earlier in the game he missed some throws. It was JJ in the first 11 games. Then at the end, it was JJ in the last two games.
December 6th, 2022 at 11:37 AM ^
Well I watched pretty much the entire game, and Tom played like poop most of the game too. His O line can't block anything it can't hold (Smith, srsly.... learn the rules!), his RBs are slow, his awesome wideouts aren't playing so awesome... but still, he has lots of errant throws, doesn't scare the D when he tries to go over the top... generally for most of the game he was pissed b/c he was playing miserably himself.
Then the last five minutes were like... oh right he's STILL the G.O.A.T.
December 5th, 2022 at 11:32 PM ^
I turned it on right before Julio's grab and knew how this game was going to turn out.
Screw the buckeye loving saints.
December 6th, 2022 at 8:28 AM ^
Exactly, we much prefer the wolverine loving ravens!
December 6th, 2022 at 9:45 AM ^
And Patriots.
December 5th, 2022 at 11:35 PM ^
That was insane. I traveled to Tampa today to make sure I got to see Brady at least once in person before he retired. Great game to go to.
December 5th, 2022 at 11:38 PM ^
BenVom - You are a legendary fan. That’s amazing you got to witness another incredible game! I want everyone to hear all about your odyssey to successfully attend every single Michigan game in this 13-0 season!
December 5th, 2022 at 11:46 PM ^
Haha thank you. I'll write a diary on the season sometime between now and the semifinal game.
December 6th, 2022 at 9:46 AM ^
No, please wait until after we win Game 15. It will be so much better.
December 6th, 2022 at 11:11 AM ^
Problem is I don't think I'm going to the semifinal because $2k+ for ticket + airfare+ lodging + food is a bit too high for me.
December 6th, 2022 at 11:32 AM ^
You can pass the baton to me and I'll finish the season off for you. I'm CA based so the travel isn't as bad.
I've been to every game since The Game (and I threw in the little brother game for good measure). I've already got Fiesta Bowl tickets and SoFi is only 200 miles from home( or a 3-12 hour drive depending on LA traffic) so I'll be there if/when we beat TCU.
December 6th, 2022 at 12:58 AM ^
What a great ending to a game to go to. Glad I'm not the only one there.
Can't help but wonder how many of those people wearing Brady Michigan jerseys are actually Michigan fans, or they just don't feel right wearing Brady in a Bucs jersey.
December 6th, 2022 at 1:03 AM ^
I was thinking the same thing haha. I'm guessing most are Michigan fans. How often do you see someone wearing a Wyoming Josh Allen jersey or a Cal Aaron Rodgers jersey?
December 6th, 2022 at 9:41 AM ^
I think the only difference is Tom Brady really can't/won't/shouldn't be remembered as a Bucs QB so maybe their fans realize that, too.
December 6th, 2022 at 11:18 AM ^
I will buy a Buc Brady jersey. not many QBs can win a Superbowl in two different conferences with two different teams, after they turn 40 (while being married to a supermodel).
December 5th, 2022 at 11:36 PM ^
I think your last sentence says it all. The NFC South is a joke.
December 6th, 2022 at 12:44 AM ^
The division stinks ...... but if such a bet existed, I'd bet right now on the NFC South Champ straight-up against Dallas in the first round of the playoffs.
Whether it's 9-8 Tampa Bay or 8-9 Carolina (it could be the latter, their schedule really isn't that tough and if they win at TB, their toughest game, they'd have the head-to-head sweep) ..... it's setting up for (1) a Dallas playoff choke for the 11th consecutive time since they actually made a Super Bowl and/or (2) another playoff run for Brady.
Shoot, I would take TB over everyone in the NFC playoffs, except for the Eagles. Philly would probably run them by 21. But otherwise there are no real scary NFC teams.
December 6th, 2022 at 7:26 AM ^
It's the Big Ten West.
December 5th, 2022 at 11:39 PM ^
Not gonna lie. Turned off the game when the Bucs were driving with under 3 to go down 16-3.
Dammmmmmit.
December 5th, 2022 at 11:39 PM ^
That’s a big whoops 😬
December 6th, 2022 at 9:11 AM ^
Did the same. And I feel shame because of it. To be fair, I'm in the throws of Covid right now (I don't have it bad) and I wanted to just lay down. But it was a bad move to not turn on the TV in the bedroom.
I feel shame and will neg myself accordingly.
December 5th, 2022 at 11:39 PM ^
And THAT is how a Wolverine wins a game! From a 5th year senior in 99 under Carr to The GOAT with 7 SB rings.
He still knows how to win.
December 5th, 2022 at 11:58 PM ^
I have it on DVR but I stopped watching after they scored to make it 16-10 with 3:00 left, but did not delete it yet. They just had almost no life and it looked over. I guess I will have to watch the rest of it. I record all games that I watch just in case something like this happens, or to go back and watch and FF thru the commercials, etc.

you shouldn’t count out touchdown tom
December 6th, 2022 at 12:54 AM ^
I was at this game. Nearly fell asleep almost all game until the wild finish.
This game completed my 3 day trifecta (which is probably why I am so tired)...
Michigan on Saturday
Lions on Sunday
Tom Brady on Monday
For anyone keeping track of my itinerary, Wings-Lightning tomorrow, back to California Wednesday, and then back to Detroit Saturday for the Lions and Pistons on Sunday.
December 6th, 2022 at 6:27 AM ^
man, that's a schedule. how about a photo diary when you're done.
December 6th, 2022 at 11:41 AM ^
New to these boards, not really sure how the photo diary works?
And if I'm gonna do a photo diary, I think the photos I took at The Game have more eye appeal than a random Lions game lol.
December 6th, 2022 at 10:56 PM ^
first, welcome. second, again, all-world game and travel itinerary. hat tip to you.
third, a photo diary (or dairy, if you're a farmer like me) isn't some formal piece, it's more of a journal of trip highlights and throw in some relevant photos. heck, you even saw a lions win, almost as rare as a buckeye with more than 8-12 teeth. and as i think about it, if you're so moved, the 3 1/2 weeks we have until the TCU game can be some starved time for content. maybe drop a shorter write-up on the 'diaries' section and i bet folks love it. i'm sure i would.
where in socal do you live (not a creepy close, but general area)?
go blue, keep us in the loop, have fun, beat TCU.
December 6th, 2022 at 12:20 PM ^
So, um, what do you do for a living? Are they hiring?
December 6th, 2022 at 1:18 PM ^
I'm a nurse practitioner. I do mostly telehealth jobs.
For some reason I keep a part-time in person job that pays worse than my other jobs, offers no benefits, and forces me to fly home for 1-2 days a week. Not sure why I still work there honestly.

Especially doing all of that twice. Sheesh.
December 6th, 2022 at 9:44 AM ^
Not sure how that happened. Couldn't see a way to delete it lol
December 6th, 2022 at 6:51 AM ^
Greatly assisted by the Saints having a 3rd and 1 from the Tampa 43 and 5:30 left and going incomplete pass, punt.
December 6th, 2022 at 7:40 AM ^
I chuckle when I think back to watching in 1998 Syracuse massacre (we were down 38-7 until three 4th Q TDs made it close). At that time, Brady was only 2 games into his starting career and many (myself included) were wondering if it was just time to go with "the future" (Drew Henson) after we started 0-2.
The guy has proven so many people so wrong. I would not want to face him as a playoff favorite. The way it looks now, TB could be hosting Dallas (I think the Div winners get a home game, even if the wildcard has the better record?).
Keep on keeping on, Tommy!
December 6th, 2022 at 7:49 AM ^
So I guess this guy Brady is pretty good.
December 6th, 2022 at 7:59 AM ^
So I guess this guy Blue Vet can't count to one.
[I wish we could delete a comment when we inadvertently do a double.]
December 6th, 2022 at 8:24 AM ^
Hahaha! What a dichotomy of opinions! I had a random sports talk show on this morning briefly and they were lamenting about how bad Brady looks "his latest comeback win notwithstanding." Me? I'm of the opinion that it doesn't matter how you look as long as you get the W. That's what I loved about Cade. That's what I love about TB12.

Tom is amazing. There are no superlatives that do him justice.

I lost my fantasy football game by 0.04 points to my brother because of that play.
he had both Brady and White
