Things not to do this week
This will not only save you headaches and high blood pressure, it will help all of us by not having you rush here to post "you hear what X said?!?", keeping all our blood pressure down.
Any other things to avoid this week?

The Derpification of my life has already begun by people who went to MSU that I haven't talked to in 5 years. My facebook friends list is about to get a lot smaller.

Things to do this week:
Congratulate any MSU fans on a good win by their team, then move on. If they keep bringing it up, say you must have missed them out of the field making a tackle on 3rd down. Point out that it would have been pretty memorable to you because he/she os a 5'9", 145lb 37-yeard-old in accounts receiving.

Spoon was really fucking amazing. I caught this by accident after watching The Les Miles Back Your Ass Out Of A Corner Show.

screw that, this is what I am going to do with sparty fans:
October 9th, 2010 at 11:30 PM ^
Yes, Fire up Chips is going to be a bitch to read this week. Well actually... If your a Central fan it might be. Enos isn't exactly endearing himself to anyone up here yet. But I somehow don't think that was quite your point.
October 9th, 2010 at 11:36 PM ^
They beat Sparty regularly for us, and have the good sense to lose to us.

Now TOLEDO'S blogs....

True, the media will be frustrating to listen to this week, but if you're a level headed human being you shouldn't need to stick your fingers int your ear canals and yell "LALALALAICANTHEARYOULALALA."
October 9th, 2010 at 11:35 PM ^
You also probably don't need to seek out things that you know are going to frustrate you.
October 9th, 2010 at 11:31 PM ^
You can't log onto facebook and see all the "little brother/sister" comments and "sparty on" from your Spartan loving friends/co-workers
October 9th, 2010 at 11:36 PM ^
I'm from Toledo, and I don't have any MSU friends... but just about my entire clique from HS went to OSU... They're #1, we lost to Sparty.... the horror.

I'm dreading leaving my house this week. I can't even fathom the taunts I will hear from Buckeye fans. It's only been about 8 hours since the game ended and my text message backlog is continuously growing.
October 9th, 2010 at 11:41 PM ^
I'm not trying to be a jerk, and I am honestly sorry if this comes across as 'jerkish'...
Why do you post everything as a diary? For someone who has a ton of MgoPoints, you would think that you would catch onto this and not do it as much. Or, am I just missing something here?
Like I said, I am sorry if this came across as a jerk, but I just wanted to express my thoughts.
October 10th, 2010 at 12:01 AM ^
But I have no idea what you mean.

The only thing I'm guessing is how it's looking/posting from the mobile App.

There's just too much to see to scroll through it all on the computer.
October 10th, 2010 at 12:08 AM ^
Ok. I guess what I mean is that the forum posts look pretty similar to the diary format. I guess I assumed that you made posts as diaries, and they got moved to the forum. But, it looks like I'm wrong.
BTW, I always really like your posts. This one follows your trend. I like reading forum posts that are legit topics to discuss, while having some humor in them. Keep up the good work!
October 10th, 2010 at 12:37 AM ^
That's funny, because I've never done a diary. Never really feel like I wrote anything epic enough to deserve it. Though it'd be even funnier if all my diary posts were so bad that they got shifted to the boards. Some would argue that's the case anyway.

Oh, and thanks.

If your me, will will spend this week trying not to murder your wife that has a masters from MSU, and will be chanting go state all week. Nevermind that she doesnt know anything about football or care about state winning except win it comes at the expense of Michigan.
October 9th, 2010 at 11:45 PM ^
Phone already turned off, but Facebook is surprisingly tame, probably because I didn't talk any shit this year. Actually, the most annoying person I have to deal with went to EMU and is always a passive-aggressive ASS about how I should be polite to Sparty since we're obviously becoming Little Brother, treat people with respect, etc. I find it funny since MSU fans are notorious for disrespecting Michigan fans both visiting and when in AA. And this is all a reaction to posting the UM-MSU Little Brother Preview 2010 vid. I refuse to take that shit from someone outside the rivalry.
Does anyone else experience that shit? If not, you're lucky, because it's probably more annoying than dealing with Sparty fans, because at least it's expected. Oh, and before you say it, he won't even care about the EMU football team, which leads me to believe he is a "closet" MSU fan.
October 9th, 2010 at 11:45 PM ^
"Really, don't listen to Mike Valenti."
The only reason to listen to Valenti is to hear him rant when MSU loses. I actually have a couple of his more epic rants on my ipod. They're great fun.

You get to be close to the program, see games and all that...but you're surrounded by everyone who hates you too.
October 10th, 2010 at 12:08 AM ^
is basically worry about this... its one loss. And while it was to Sparty, if you told me in the beginning of the season that after week 6 we would be 5-1, I'd have taken that no question.
My favorite moment of today was this:
They win yada yada. Girl comes up to me at the bar (wearing a pink michigan state jersey no less) and says "I can't believe you Michigan fans actually thought you were going to win"
I simply responded with "I can't believe you actually thought with your degree you wouldn't end up as a waitress"... Must have hit home... could have tossed quarters in her mouth from 25 feet.
October 10th, 2010 at 12:43 AM ^
I'd have been disappointed because this was 6 of my 8 wins I predicted. And if you had told me the one was to MSU, the one we could least afford to lose...

But if I had my evening go like yours did, I'd probably be a lot happier too, because I'd be so pleased with myself for being so quick with an awesome comeback.
October 10th, 2010 at 1:33 PM ^
we both know a quick witted response never feels as good as it should. Especially when what I really wanted to be able to say was "check out this comeback sweetheart"
My evening went terrible. We lost. Im moving past it, but hot damn today went to shit around 415.... its a good thing she loves me or the stream of obscenities might have ended me up on Cops
Edit: The game we can least afford to lose is and always will be OSU
October 10th, 2010 at 4:07 AM ^
Since she sounds like the typical female Sparty fan, you probably could have tossed something else in her mouth from 25 feet. Seems like all the slutty dim-witted chicks rock pink Michigan State gear. It makes me want to yell "Hey there Snooki, your colors are green and white!" But they wouldn't know that because they are fans for only one week in October, and for a few weeks in late March.

Addendum: Don't stop sniffing glue.
October 10th, 2010 at 8:25 AM ^
will show if they are for real if they don't lose their next game. Best way to put this behind us, is for M to go out and beat Iowa next week, and for MSU to lose their next game. Though if they win, then they might just have a decent team. Would rather have MSU go out as Big Ten champions, than OSU.
Oh, and I have a lot of yard raking to do this week. I'll start it today instead of watching the Lions.
October 10th, 2010 at 11:00 AM ^
Do what I did, I defriended every person I know from MSU on facebook. I couldn't care less about their daily little quips or status updates.
October 11th, 2010 at 9:51 AM ^
I should have added skip even Sam and Ira....because that means listening to Sparty boss...ugh.
