Just in time to weed out the poison threads of yesterday, the new sheriff has arrived and revealed himself - robf, come on down! Like herding cats with fleas and amp'd up on methamphetamine, he has accepted the job of keeping the board in some form of order. Maybe, just maybe, we can make his otherwise thankless job a little easier by self-policing - think before you hit the 'send' button. If your sentence has four-letter words in it, like 'ohio', maybe you should delete it instead. If the words 'ad hominem' apply to your post, maybe you should delete it. If political folks and/or parties are mentioned, it is highly likely that delete is the best option.
For now, how about a rousing 'atta boy' and some well-wishes. I mean, if a guy comes to your house to clean out your stopped up toilet, and he does it for free, wouldn't you be grateful? That seems to be the definition of what a mod does.
So huzzah and hello to the new sheriff. Lets have a much better day today than yesterday.
