I feel like I'm trying to read fine print for a pharmaceutical ad.

The only difference is that the Texas bowl is guaranteed not to give you an erection lasting for more than four hours.

Some bowl games may cause vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and a wistful yearning that your team was good enough to participate. Also, to Hell with Notre Dame and f$@# that school down south.

The fine print says Arkansas will drive up to Nashville to play Iowa.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:44 PM ^
Arkansas has prepped so hard for their 8th loss, they must be devastated.
December 29th, 2020 at 4:35 PM ^
There is such a thing as the Texas Bowl?
December 29th, 2020 at 4:52 PM ^
Yes, it even had a sponsor--Mercari!
December 29th, 2020 at 4:58 PM ^
Not this year.

It use to be called the Bluebonnet Bowl then became the Houston Bowl and is now called the Texas Bowl. Some of you may remember Michigan defeated UCLA 33-14 in the Bluebonnet bowl. It was during my Freshman year at Michigan, 1981. I remember Iowa won the B1G in '81 and they played Washington. Everyone was saying the real Rose Bowl was the Bluebonnet Bowl, Michigan vs UCLA.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:29 PM ^
Yup. It was my senior year and you're absolutely right-M vs UCLA was considered a much more appealing game than the rose bowl that year.

I was wonder if Corso was still coaching IU while doing color for this game with Ray Scott.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:28 PM ^
I have always also liked UCLA's uniforms.

Was that the BlueBonnet butter bowl?
December 29th, 2020 at 8:14 PM ^
Oh how I miss a Michigan QB that can hit a WR in stride on a deep ball (2:00).
December 29th, 2020 at 7:05 PM ^
As I recall, it was after that game that Texas A&M made a run after Bo.
December 30th, 2020 at 11:04 PM ^
Bo quipped after the Bluebonnet Bowl that after all the bowl losses earlier in his career he’d managed to win two within one calendar year and was clearly “on a roll”.

Welp.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:20 PM ^
This is called the sponsors pulled out so we are canceling for Covid because we are set to lose our ass financially.
December 29th, 2020 at 5:59 PM ^
Rather than that, it's called covid protocols causing TCU to not have enough players available to participate.
Hated to have to interrupt your narrative.
December 29th, 2020 at 9:14 PM ^
"Narrative"...that's hilarious.
December 29th, 2020 at 6:38 PM ^
*checks matchups*
TCU against Arkansas? That's just gross.
Probably a better thing that this one is not going to be played, especially if you are a Razorbacks fan.
December 29th, 2020 at 7:01 PM ^
Nobody wanted to see Arkansas with a 3 - 7 record and on a losing streak of 4 games.
December 29th, 2020 at 8:55 PM ^
I’ll bet you they don’t dare cancel the playoff games. That’s the only thing that matters now in college football and it has destroyed it.
