Offensive and defensive efficiencies through weeks 1-3 via Twitter user @cover2figuRes. B1G things that stand out:

  1. LOLIowa
  2. Maryland isn't elite, but they will be night-and-day better than the garbage we've played so far.
  3. I'm not sure how Rutgers has managed to be 3-0. Very impressive.

Early season statistics are like early season rankings.  Until you are at least halfway though your tougher conference games, early season items make the fan base feel good but don't tell much of a story, particularly when the level of competition is weak.

I've been burned too many times to believe early season press clippings and then get burned when reality strikes home.

Having said that, 3-0 is still 3-0.

Other items of note

- good thing 'Bama still has Defense

- OSU's defense doesn't look that much better

- Rutgers, Indiana, and Texas - triangle of Hell.

- Who knew Nebby's Offense would be better than Clemson, Maryland, and Penn State?

I kind of disagree about OSU's defense - they look OK but better than last year. But when you think about it, there was nowhere to go but up. That Toledo QB is dangerous and made a few things happen - which concerns me somewhat about Tua - Maryland. He's the same type of QB.

Iowa? A trainwreck. Not concerned about them - at least not like I was at the beginning of the season.

I cant wait to see Iowa’s offense vs Nebraska’s defense — the easily-resisted force against the totally-movable object.  Its like multiplying near-infinity by near-zero, you cant know what you’re going to get.

Thanks for sharing - an interesting chart and of course will change over the next few weeks.

It does make me wonder if the x and y axis scale would need to change to show the putrescence of CSU, Hawaii, and UConn

Minnesota looks dangerous this season.  They're the favorites to win the west at this point.  No doubt about it.  Looking forward to seeing them in the championship this season.  ;)
