Taylor Lewan Article
I did my due diligence and didn't see this posted. Nothing really new but I am a TL fan and I hope he cements the left tackle position and further shows how the pancake is done on Saturdays. Let's hope TL and CR can help land Andre "The Giant" Yruretagoyena.
Good things are going to be happening for Michigan.

Time to bring Run Left back into style
during the Cap One bowl when the commentators said:
"I want to RUN it behind the BIG BOY." (aka Jake Long).
They might be remembering this:

Thanks
I really hope that Leawan does great. I think he needs to gain about 10-15 lbs to be dominating but even at 285 he can be really good. If he is good this year and great the rest of the way and gets draftet really high its going to help a lot with OL recruits because they can see that the "spread can produce high quality OL" that dont need to be a project in the NFL but can step in and start right away.
I know this doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but watching him execute the veer block in the spring game (on the denard read option touchdown) seemed like a bit of an omen to me. he is big and showed some serious agility there. i think he can be a real asset for us.
He's just a redshirt freshman and he's already about to lock down the left tackle spot. He's going to be a beast in the future.
Watch Taylor Lewan on the first drive of the spring game. He looks an awful lot like a certain left tackle from the class of '07...
on my 5th viewing of the spring game (that's not a joke) I really watched TL everytime he was on the field. He showed some really good promise on some plays, but there were a handful of plays ( 4 or 5) where he completely wiffed on his man. I think he has all the physical talent in the world but it looked like he still may need some work on the mental aspect
hopefully denard's athleticism will allow him to make up for those types of plays.
...he's going to mature like a fine wine or should I say he'll develop into a fricking kick ass bull dozer destroying everything in his way. All we can hope is he stays healthy. The rest of the team needs to get infected with TL's nastiness and desire to destroy.
He's only played one year of o-line in high school and hasn't played a game yet in college. With his size, smarts, athleticism, and attitude, the sky is definitely the limit for this kid.
fine wines are for QBs, I want my OL to age like a good scotch...
I want my lineman to treat people like cheap whisky treats me--I want them to wake up the next morning feeling like they were run over by a Mack Truck.
Craig Roh, amongst others, have that nasty side.
Lets hope that more follow...
That is the first time I have had a chance to see a clip from a perspective in the stands and for thos of you in attendance (I watched the televised later) that had to endure that PA announcer the entire game I commend you! Hope that changes next year. YES TL does remind us all of a certain someone!
Can you clear up whom you're referring to in the class of 2007? I can't think of any number one picks off the top of my head.
