I have no reason to be this optimistic but I think we land Shariff Floyd. Him waiting til during or after the season will allow us to show him how improved we are and he will come here. Long shot I know, but I think it happens (again for no reason other than pure optimism)

wasn't upset with Evans and Helmuth leaving. The Talbott's now have room to commit and we still have room for all those DB recruits we're high on. Woo defense!

I wonder if the presence of CB Talbott (sorry, can't remember if it's Terry or Terrence) will make one of either Christian or Grimes superfluous. Regardless, if taking him helps us get a solid DT prospect, I'm happy, as the rest of our DT options seemed like longshots.

I think this ends up being a 4 CB class. Cullen, Grimes and Ifill likely fill out the rest of the DB recruiting. Ifill and Cullen could end up being either CB or S, where Grimes is pure CB. That would make the class: Avery (CB) Talbott (CB) Grimes (CB) Cullen (CB/S) Ifill (S/CB) M-Rob (S/OLB) That would be a pretty solid backfield.

I don't think Terrence Talbott's commitment will have an effect on Michigan's recruitment of Grimes and Christian. Christian should be a safety (in my opinion), so even if we get all four cornerbacks - Avery, Talbott, Grimes, Christian - there's some flexibility there. Also, Ifill stated early on that Michigan was recruiting him as a safety. So Talbott's commitment probably has no effect on Ifill, either.

Terrence (CB) is now rated a 78 and a 3 star on ESPN. Terry (DT) is a 75. Interesting considering both scout and rivals have Terry rated as the better player...
