Tailgating and bars in Indianapolis tomorrow

Adding to the immense number of posts since Saturday I was hoping we could discuss tailgating and bar options in Indy.

·Homesure Lending is having a tailgate southwest of the stadium.

·U-M Club of Indianapolis at O'Reilly's (36 S. Pennsylvania St., Indianapolis 46204) and its neighboring adjacent bars, Coaches Tavern (next door) and Pearl Street Pizza (65 E. Pearl St.).

·Tail Greater Party on Georgia Street

I have heard word of mouth that WTKA is going to be broadcasting from Indy, but I’m not sure where. In addition, Seth had mentioned on the Podcast Monday that he thought Marlin Jackson might have a tailgate as well.  A google search has yielded nothing on the last two. If you have any knowledge of said events or others including any go to bars please share them with the board.  I hope to get to see many of you there and even if you don't have a ticket come and celebrate.

Anyone with knowledge, do you think there will be any open bars/seats if we show up in Indy around 4pm? Never been before so I'm not sure what the city atmosphere will be like...

Doubtful, but also depends on the weather. If it is decent out, there is usually a few blocks blocked off by the B1G and Fox to do a lot of pre game festivities, a little more family focused, but if it is nice out that could draw more people outside.

You may be wall-to-wall in bars/restaurants.

If you have trouble getting a spot at the  “downtown” bars (my guess is Reilly’s and coaches will be packed, same for Georgia St. / S Meridian bars) you can slide up to Mass Ave (0.75 mile NE from downtown) and shouldn’t have trouble finding a spot for 4.

At O'Reilly's now and some Michigan fans drinking with us.  Had several Ohio fans talking shit and pulling for Iowa.  Definitely more Iowa fans walking around then Michigan fans so far today.

FYI: I just did a quick search on travel websites and hotel rooms are opening up a bit. I see some in the Indy vicinity and some about 50 minutes away.

Anyone else going to be in Brighton at the Legacy Center for their kids basketball Tournament? Or am I the only one? Games are 3,4 and 6, couldn't be any worse. Anyone in that area go to a specific bar?

Kilroy's was great before the elite 8 game last March. Wasn't great after but we still went. Legendary Bloomington bar with a location a few blocks from Lucas Oil. Highly reccomend the Waterlong

My brother and cousin are going to the game.  I was insanely jealous.  Now I find out they scored reservations at St. Elmo's.  Nothing like a belly shrimp cocktails  and steak for a pre-game menu.
