Just got an email from the U of M Club of Los Angeles. I gobbled up two tickets for the full session (3 games) for $100 or $16 per ticket. Very happy!

If you got this email too I would act quickly! The capacity is under 2,000.

Because this is a public form, UCLA fans could have wandered over here, saw the CODE and ordered tickets meant for Michigan alumni association members for themselves, and then picked them up at Will Call to use or scalp them.  There was a reason the CODE was privately emailed to Michigan supporters and not posted on the University's team page or ticket page.

When I was doing intel on tickets earlier this week, the first thing I did was look at UCLA forums as to what they were saying about tickets. It would have been Gold to find a link and secret code.

Also, this discourages the athletic department from engaging in this type of sale in the future.  And then everybody's going to wrongly blame Warde Manuel again for screwing them out of tickets.

It's been about 15 years since I was in grad school at UCLA, but I went to a lot of games at Jackie Robinson Stadium.  The actual seating area is quite small, but there were nice grass areas down both lines where you can sit and picnic while you watch the game.  My wife and I used to pick up sandwiches from Bay Cities Deli in Santa Monica before the games.  Get there early and bring a blanket.

So does this mean that the poster saying the AD sent back our allotment was misinformed or just a giant troll?

I think he was frustrated, knew Warde is an easy punching bag, and decided to unload. I was initially upset then the more I thought about the situation the less sense it made to be mad. It's a very small stadium and essentially a UCLA home game. And as we see now there are a few tickets trickling out of our alumni association.

The stadium size doesn't matter, though.  The NCAA dictates that 600 seats "in an area between first and third bases" be held for the visiting team.

I can tell you, though, that as a holder of 2 season baseball tickets, I was offered 4 super-regional tickets by the Michigan Ticket Office yesterday afternoon.  I don't think people were not being offered tickets, I just guess they had to go through a priority distribution:  players' family and friends, then high donors, then season ticket holders, then the M club of Los Angeles.

I agree that the criticism was premature.

It just means there are lots of fellas that can’t wait to throw crap(shade), darkness, dirt, dung, spite, and or a casket on Warde’s head at the drop of a hat!  Whether that be a baseball cap or any other!  They want his head no matter what!  Because he never contacted Billy!!!
