Stadium Stock Exchange (NCAA Football ESPN Program)
ESPN and Nissan teamed to give you a fun new way to track your teams throughout the season. They have a new program that allows you purchase shares of your favorite team (make believe, no real money is involved and you can sign-in with Facebook if you wish.) where the share price is $10x the number of wins you expect them to achieve this year.
For example, the current market price of Michigan is $105.52. This means that the current average is 10.52 wins. You can either choose to purchase this stock for $105.52 if you think the number of wins will be higher or Short the stock if you think the number will be lower. The price changes continuously, just like the NYSE.
It is interesting, because you can practice your stock trading skills while using a fun subject like college football. I was hoping to start an MGO league, but was holding off until we can gauge interest.

Poking around the site now, and it looks very intriguing. If you started a league, I would definitely get in on the action. Cool concept really.

Created a league. It didn't give me the option to make it public, so send an e-mail to [email protected] if you want to join and I will send you an invite. I promise not to sell your e-mail to spammers.

Why does it say "Waiting for market to open at 8 am ET"? Are trades only valid on Saturdays?
Edit: It works now. It must have just been a glitch or something.
