No magic, not yet. I think most everyone looks the same, which makes sense 4 practices in. Morgan is a thumper but he's still going to get swallowed up a lot on the interior. Green really didn't deliver a blow, just ran hard and turned his shoulder into the defender. Smith still limited athletically - his cut against Ross looked like slow motion. McCray looks big but not strong enough to avoid getting planted by Kerridge. I think it was Magnuson going against a DL (Hurst?), slow off the ball and matching the contact being given, not initiating and enforcing his will. First looks at Isaac, his pass blocking seemed woof. He's big but his feet and body position are off - I don't know why Morgan bothered spinning, he could have put him on skates if he kept charging forward. AJ Williams was actually the most encouraging - his blocking has always been reactive and less than urgent. He looked like he actually wanted to go after Morgan and Bolden in those reps. That would be an upgrade. Again, expected after 4 practices. And to everyone dissing Hoke's practice methods... there seemed to be an awful lot of players standing around in that video.

from MGoBlog, its that a sense of humor is oh-so important, even if its a warped one.  I'm a perfect example.  With that sense of humor comes a little bit of tolerance, not a lot, but its not so awkward if you'd lighten up a touch.

Just my opinion.

Edit:  Not to mention, my post was meant as an opportunity to post what I think is a funny scene from a funny movie, not to call you out or anything.  Not my first day on the internet... Dramatic much?

I think it was much more dramatic to edit your post and type out a paragraph saying that my statement "Today was not my first day on the internet" was dramatic. You are good at starting things with others, but pretty bad at self-awareness.

The real winner here was the weather here in SE Michigan yesterday and the fact that you could in fact practice outside without freezing, or indeed without wearing several layers. To see football - even a spring practice - outside this early in the year is nice indeed.

I will say regarding Harbaugh - the whistle and pen are configured precisely as I had imagined for practices.

Still having a hard time wrapping my head around seeing Harbaugh actually out there coaching Michigan. So surreal. And somebody like Ty Wheatley as our RB coach? So awesome. So awesome

"When practice was over Harbaugh brought the team around him and awarded the day to the defense. As a reward he told them they had to run while the offense watched because “here, the winners are the ones that earn the opportunity to get better.”

If you look close enough, you can see his shoes aren't double knotted. This is awful, I expected better.

In all seriousness, this over analization of practice video is a little rediculous. Who knows what speed or percentage they were told to go for this drill or that drill? Who knows exactly what they were supposed to be doing for each drill? Bottom line is that it's pretty silly to try and analyze where this team is going to be in the fall based on snippets from an early spring practice. Remain calm and Harbaugh on!

Edit: Ty Isaac...my apologies.

I love the idea. Love the fact that Harbs is in full coaching gear. This team will be ready to play on September the 3rd in Salt Lake City, Utah. There is no doubt in my mind.
