Sparty loses another key recruit
The steady trickle of recruits decommitting from MSU continues. This is the 3rd in two weeks, and their top QB prospect. Check out this article from Detroit Free Press: Michigan State football loses another recruit: 2023 3-star QB from Texas decommits https://www.freep.com/story/sports/college/michigan-state/spartans/2022/11/03/michigan-state-football-recruiting-bo-edmundson-decommits-2023/69615401007/

This probably is going to get worse before it gets better.
I have to imagine that after last Saturday night's events, there are a lot of recruits and especially their parents who have no interest in hearing about the kind of football player and man that Mel Tucker plans to mold them into.

A colleague of mine sent out an email today saying she is not going to be at work tomorrow, because she is taking her son on an official college visit to the University of Michigan. Here was my response to her:
Have Fun!!! Just a word of warning. Be careful if you visit the football tunnel on your visit. According to MSU fans the tunnel has a tendency to jump people and beat them up. I was there with my son in August on a tour of the stadium and we had no issues in the tunnel, but just be careful.

A "key" recruit?

they will expand the transfer portal to the state correctional facilities. So that they can fit the culture better.

What I takeaway from that article in this recruiting environment:
Tucker will combine every NIL incentive into one for Dante in the hope of salvaging the class and any momentum possible for his defeated program. The guy is paid $9.5m for last place in the East, so maybe their is a price that can be paid for a 5* to sacrifice his career on that program.
Possible…
