Semi-OT: USC agrees to $1.1B settlement with victims of university physician
Kinda begs the question, whither the Michigan settlement?
Sandusky, $109M
Nasser, $500M
Anderson, ????
Holy hell! I didn't realize this was a case! Guess I wasn't paying attention...
Meanwhile, Jim Jordan asks what the fuss is all about...
*Gym Jordan
I bet the settlement would be double if he were a proctologist.
Better come out of the endowment and any assets the doctor and anyone who allowed this to happen’s assets.
Welp, here we go again:
This phrase is so often misused I once heard someone use it correctly and it took me a second to realize that they weren't trying to say "raise the question."
Well, I just learned something new today!

I would have thought I couldn't care less but for all intensive purposes, I learned something new today too.
I thought RockinLoud's comment required further investigation. Apparently, there is debate around his definition: https://www.merriam-webster.com/words-at-play/beg-the-question .
PS: We have have now gone down a rabbit hole far afield of where the OP started us. This begs the question, should we return to the OP's more important topic?
Not to downplay or overtake the seriousness of the OP's thread, but pedanticism is very important to pedants.

You are begging the question
Michigan has over 850 accusers now... more than USC. Have to imagine a billion or more is on the table.
A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon you’re talking about real money.
They’ll just make more electronic money for everyone.
A nod to Josh...West Wing fans.
As a USC employee, the University's decision to cut their 403(b) contributions this year makes a little more sense now. And here I was, thinking it was due to a lack of football revenue in 2020 ...

AD dollars and general fund dollars mix at USC? Interesting.
