Semi-OT - Michigan players among NFL cuts today
It's a tough day across the NFL. Here's some Wolverines looking for landing spots:
Daylen Baldwin was cut by the Browns.
Nick Eubanks was cut by the Bengals.
Sean McKeon was cut by the Cowboys.
Khaleke Hudson was cut by the Commanders.
Michael Schofield was cut by the Bears.
Devin Funchess was cut by the Lions.
That's all I saw based on a quick skim of headlines. Good luck and Go Blue!

Cam McGrone & Brad Hawkins cut by the Pats as well

Surprised at Mcgrone they just drafted him last year and stashed him on IR.

I wonder about McGrone. He could be a senior this year, with the Covid yr.

McGrone looked really bad in preseason. Unfortunately, I think the injury may have ruined him.

McGrone and Hawkins both signed to Pats' practice squad today.

And Lavert Hill by Cleveland.

This is not a Michigan player, but this is kinda strange news. Alex Leatherwood was waived by the Raiders.

He was struggling, a lot. That combined with the new coach/gm wanting to clean house a bit. It would be great to get a Bacon-like book about the Gruden years, Part Deux. It would be nice to know who Gruden fought for and who Mayock fought for. Someone pointed out that the Raiders had solid drafts after the first round, was that left for Mayock?
Gruden was once a good coach, and still had shockingly good moments of offensive playcalling...but a lot of the personnel pieces (dealing with current-day players and gambling on a player like AB) and evolution of the game, seemed to have passed him by while he spent a decade forming his booth persona.

Did Vincent Gray and Chris Hinton not even make it to the final cut?

Hinton got cut when rosters were pared down to 80 something

So Hinton made a bad decision leaving early? Captain Renault is shocked. Still hoped he would catch on with somebody.

Hinton for sure did not.

It sounds like it would’ve been easier to list Michigan alums who weren’t cut.

Well, before waiver pick-ups and further cuts, there are currently 30 Wolverines on NFL rosters.

McKeon just caught a pass and ran for a first down in the Dallas game. Guess he just got elevated from the practice squad.
