Saturday tickets?

Submitted by Maize in Cincy on

I'm sure I'm not the only one looking for tickets for tomorrow.  Does anyone know if there will be any available through the Michigan ticket office?  Also, does anyone know what sections Michigan has?

I'm trying to surprise my older brother who lives in Baltimore with a pair.  He's recently retired from the Navy and has never really been stationed where he could catch a good Michigan game.  He's the reason I'm a Michigan fan even though I've been stuck in Ohio my whole life and all my family are OSU fans so I figure I owe him.

Maryland's home court has a capacity of 17,950, Verizon center is 18,277, last year Maryland averaged 17,863 fans.  They can pretty much sell it out by themselves and if they win tonight that is who you are competing with for those tickets from other fans, it will drive the market up.

I got tix for today via StubHub without any trouble.  Note: pickup is on 10th street between K and New York Avenue so allow enough time to make the extra four block walk.

How does the StubHub ticket pickup work? Do you pick it up from the individual seller or is 10th St some sort of established location for Verizon Center tickets? I wanted to go to the Wings game when they were here a few weeks back, but couldn't easily find out how to get tickets if they weren't instant downloads (and realizing the Wings had no chance of winning didn't help my motivation).

It looked like a satellite StubHub office with computers, half dozen workers, and it worked like a will call window with envelopes alphabetized. It's in a hotel and there were many signs pointing you to the StubHub folks. FWIW, I used AmEx concierge which uses StubHub as a secondary market. I probably paid a dollar extra, but they have all my credit card info so that saved a few minutes.

The UM ticket office didn't offer tickets for yesterday's or today's game (as best I could tell), so I doubt they'll offer any for tomorrow. There are tickets on Ticketmaster, $50 for upperlevel corner. Stubhub has a bunch, but they aren't cheap now. Yesterday's game there were tickets going for $6, and today's for about $15.

Following; we live in Baltimore and my kids (6 - 8) got excited about end of game Michigan basketball over the last 5 games. We're thinking about going down and trying to get tickets tomorrow outside the game.

There are plenty of tickets available, but prices jumped up quite a bit in the past ~36 hours. On stubhub, it's $150+ for the 100 sections and close to that for the 200s. Most of the 400 level is $100+.

Stubhub has a mobile sales office a few blocks from the arena. I bought tickets for today and tomorrow without any issue. In and out in under 5 minutes. Probably a 5-10 minute walk from arena.
