Saturday Morning Drinking Thread
What’s in your cup this morning? Who’s tailgating? Who’s going?
I for 1 will be sipping on a variety of beers, mostly porters to keep warm, with a couple IPAs mixed in, nothing cheap for me. But first I need to finish off this Bloody Mary! I will be down tailgating and going in to the game.

Any old tree or sign post will do for parking my bike as always. Actually some of my prime spots will be plowed under so I might have to search for a half block or so.

Plan is for Dark Subject Matter(one of the best stouts I've ever had) and before that Double Archipelago DIPA, both from Monday Night Brewing based in Atlanta.

Coffee and brandy to start the day. MSU tradition my father in law passed down. He claims drinking brandy was a thing he did with Pete and Bump Elliot when they were at Michigan. He would claim they hated MSU like no other.

I had a work trip until late last night so we decided not to make the trip to AA (we live in Columbus). Sold tickets to some UM fans don’t worry ya’ll.
anyway...it’s 30 degrees and I will have a fire in the fire pit, TV outside and a beer cracked at 9am. And God Bless my wife who is from NYC and didn’t even know college football was a “thing” before she met me. 10 years later here we are and she will be outside with me all morning hanging out and throw ring the football as well as our 7 years old daughter. That’s love lol.
Chili has been on the slow cooker since 6. Even when not in AA, we pretend we are and tailgate!

Congratulations! 6 years 6 months for me. I woke up one day and decided the trend line on my drinking would ultimately be a problem, so I quit. One day became two, etc.
The only thing I miss is a cold beer on a hot summer day. Otherwise, I find: (a) my liver function numbers have improved; (b) I'm spending a lot less money.

Once again I was out of town for work so gave my tickets to my college son and then I came home early so yay. I’m heading to meijer in a bit to grab a case of beer and some sort of dead animal to throw in the traeger. As bad as state is this year, all those going won’t have to endure a Sparty camo party. Eat my crumb Sparty!

Yeah I agree. @46 I plan my days more carefully than I used to and generally try not to start before 3. Unfortunately every noon game we’ve played this yr has made me start pounding beers by 12:30, so I’m scared as well.

Wasn't planning on drinking at all today but the kids woke up wanting to see Grandma and Grandpa so they're gonna spend the night there and probably take in some of the game if grandpa has his way. So with no kids gonna head down to the liquor store and get a couple half pints of rum for the wife and I.
