Scoring average in Big Ten games goes down. What a disappointment.
But hey, a shutout! So Red won't have to be giving people death stares on the trip home, which is nice for the players.

Everyone knows we can score, but the defensive performance tonight is encouraging - even with the opponent being an awful Wisconsin team.

Goals per game is up to 4.36. PWR is at 12 which would give us a 3 seed.

Went to see Denver vs. Miami (NTM) tonight -- my first live college hockey game in, well..far too long. I'm a Miami alum, and this was my first time to the "new" Goggin Ice Center (they opened it in 2006). What an absolutely terrific facility...had a great time. Oh, and Miami buried Denver, 4-1.
Got home and saw the good news about Michigan's hockey results, and our new recruits...and, even despite a tough loss to Wisconsin on the hardwood, well, it was a pretty damn good day.
Cheers. Damn, I love college hockey, by the way. It'll always be totally underappreciated by the masses, but for me, it comes right after college football in my personal sports hierarchy.
