The last step will be a hearing August 13th at which the sanctions will be accepted.
Main board post now.
...and possibly added to. Though I hope not!!
we can begin to move on.
Now the media can move on. None of this was ever close to being as big of a problem as they made it out to be. They can now continue their endless speculation of LeBron's new team.
Sam Webb just said all he's ever wanted was for Rich Rodriguez to be able to sink or swim on his own merits and not because of outside factors/factions/dissent/drama.
I can't wait for September 4th.
We hope that there arent a bazillion threads on this topic rehashing the same ideas and just like stated above, we move on.
What kills me is that there are people out there who think the punishment should be more severe. I mean, it's practice. Not money laundering, illegal recruiting, etc. Practice people practice. Cmon now...
Sanctions.... now what?
No pants? Already there, baby ; )
By which, of course, I mean that other major program the NCAA is currently investigating.
that the MSM is going to move on? I do not. Perseverative is the word of the day.
Go Blue!
Hopefully the coaches instill an "us against the World" mentality in the team, and we blow through the season with a vengeance. A chip on our shoulder would be beneficial.
We win many games with our now "experienced" quarterbacks, and all this becomes a footnote to a long and prosperous run by RR! Fall can't get her quickly enough and to quote Wyatt Earp:
"You tell 'em I'M coming... and hell's coming with me, you hear?...
[louder]
Hell's coming with me!"
Go Blue!
we go out and kick ass, we use our anger to motivates us to go 9-3
Brian, we all hope you're right, but how do you know that's a forgone conclusion? I realize that UM has had a former Infractions guy advising it, but how do we know that the current infractions people are going to see things the way that UM does? Or are you supposing that our infractions guy has been privately in contact behind the scenes with the current NCAA infractions people?
I can't imagine that is actually allowed? Is it?
that's why its private

Personally for me, the countdown for September 4th has now been started.
Doc Sat compared it losing "one blocking drill." Is all that really happens is Michigan has to end practice a little earlier than usual?
It means that they have to cut down practice time over the next couple years. Instead of having 20 countable hours per week, they might only have 18.
(I'm not sure what the math figures out to be, but you get the point.)
If they accept our two years of probation proposal, does that mean that we can't go to a bowl either of those years?
Bowl restriction is not part of probation. Basically all probation means is that we can't screw up during that time or they drop the hammer on us. Death by infractions committee.
