Rutgers Visitors' Section?

Submitted by vnperk on

I'm going to the game this upcoming weekend with a group of friends, and we wanted to try and grab seats in a section that will be populated with Michigan fans. I'm guessing a good chunk of the stadium will fit this bill, but does anyone know what section is the official "Visitors' Section" there?

Thanks in advance for any advice, really appreciate it!

I would imagine if you call the Athletic Dept, they'll be able to tell you where Michigan's allotment of seats are. Even if they're sold out they can at least tell you where the tickets would've gotten you.

But seriously, anywhere you sit should be packed with Michigan fans. Thousands of them will be sweeping in from the city for this game, and I have to imagine anywhere that's not the Rutgers student section will have at least 1 Michigan fan within a 20-30 foot radius.

It was also a night game and I was impressed by the atmosphere.  Yes, they got lucky and we sucked.  But there were a lot of Rutgers fans and they were actually pretty cool with me in my Michigan jersey.  Even did a couple of shots at a Rutgers tailgate.

This should be a different story though since this game won't be close.  I imagine there will be more Maize n Blue Saturday.

I went to the last Michigan game at Rutgers and I found that the sideline lower rows were mostly Michigan fans.  Like rows 1-20 around the stadium.

This makes sense considering you have your NYC alums (with big pockets) buying whatever tickets they want on Stubhub.

Me and 15 of my closest family members will be in attendance. Driving all the way from Toledo, Ohio on the RV. If anyone wants to stop by for some cornhole and jagerbombs, feel free! The Jagerator will be pouring them all day long! Go Blue!

I'm from Toledo but havent been back in few years.  I am stationed down in D.C and will be coming up for the game with a friend of mine.  Would be nice to shoot the shit with a fellow Toledoian pre-game.

I went to the Maryland game at CP last year, and I imagine the RU game will be similar. That was about 40-50% M fans and we sat in an MD section and nobody was unfriendly.

D.C. has a lot of alumni, but NYC has more and NJ has a bunch. It doesn't hurt that the NYC peeps can train it in.

I'd assume you would. E fine sitting anywhere.

I'm in sec 124 row 2. Can't wait. Just want to enjoy some tailgate with other Mich fans. Any specific parking areas recommended. All the RU sites make it sound like there is no better tailgating in the country. I you can imagine, I'm skeptical. Do they still "chop wood"?

My son and I were supposed to go the game this weekend but unfortunately he ended up having to work. I already paid for flight tickets flying in on Saturday and leaving Sunday morning. So, I have two football tickets available, which were purchased from the UM ticket office. Section 211 Row 12 Seats 12 & 13. I paid $100.00 apiece. These are hard tickets. I can deliver via UPS or hand exchange in and around SE Michigan. GO BLUE! Andy
