What asshole thought Milton was better than   DMac and Cade?   That decision alone should be enough for a house cleaning.

Has there ever been a worse QB whisperer than Harbaugh?

Coaches actually managed OT better than Rutgers.  Rutgers was too arrogant about kicking the FG in the first OT and didn’t worry about gaining yards to make it easier.  Probably cost them the game.  Then they got greedy after the throwback screen in the second OT and pulled out a trick RB pass in the third OT, hoping to score quickly.  Then went for it all on fourth down and long when all they needed was a first down.  Harbaugh at least remembered you get four plays to gain ten yards, not four plays to score.  We slogged down the field, but kept making those first downs.  Other teams’ coaches do dumb things too.

Does anyone already envision the  general trick plays being designed by OSU to burn our overpursuit on every play?   That Barrett TD in overtime is the perfect example.   Both the players and the coaches are dumb across the board.  One should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity, and you can see the overpursuit on so many plays and any smart OC is gonna get us good.    I doubt anyone said anything to Barrett after that insanely stupid thing he did in OT.

Jalen Hurts won a National Championship in 2017 by throwing 17 touchdowns and 1 interception all year.  The next year, for the September 1 opener the coaching staff decided Tua was the first string quarterback and Hurts was out as starter.

That is a decision the coaches who consistently make the college playoffs make without any remorse.  Those who merit the start should play.  Under Jim Harbaugh, Tua would likely have transferred.

Getting back to reality for a moment, not having your best players on the D-line and O-line isn't a recipe for stellar play. That's not Harbaugh's, Gattis', or Brown's fault. It's what happens sometimes in football. The O-line coach has done a great job, as evidenced by M players in the NFL.

Linemen take time to develop. They're among the most difficult positions in football. Michigan lost a good O-line to graduation.

In-game performance by Cade and Milton might be proof that certain players look great in practices, but can't do as well in the context of a game. For this, the coaches can be criticized, though the fact is people here were over the moon about Milton and Gattis after the Minnesota game. Fans here are inconsistent, as fans everywhere often are.

We've had an awful run in a bizarre season. I don't think it's a good idea to draw any conclusions about what should or shouldn't happen based on 2020. It's too weird a year. This is when patience just might be a virtue. I'm going to wait for next year to reach any conclusions about who I'd like to see go or stay.

Not having your best players on the line and having a team full of non B1G calibre players are two different things. With his strong start at M Harbaughs recruiting should've been strong enough in year 6 that our 2nd and 3rd string players arent requiring 3 ot's to beat rutgers. This is entirely an issue with recruiting and developing talent. Missing those guys vs having those guys should be like, a 45-20 game against rutgers vs a 60-10 type game vs rutgers.

I don't pay much attention to what other coaches say, besides when they are screaming about being 40 and a man. But why would Harbaugh even felt need to declare Michigan a meritocracy? Shouldn't that go without saying, maybe he brought it up because he'd been accused of playing favorites in the past.

Time for AD to stop playing favorites, players should play based on their merits, and coaches should be held to same standard. And from what I'm seeing the results merit a coaching change.

This team seems to be going through the motions at best. No intensity. Clearly despondent after any bad play or bad break. The attitude picked up with McNamara but we’ll have to see if the play with more enthusiasm consistently moving forward.

Like most on here are saying , happy for the boys to get that W but doesn’t change my mind on the coaching.  Although Gattis sure called a better game because he had a QB who could throw a 5 yard out route. My positive vibes with him are a bit higher now. Offense was open and flowing. Finally...thank you Cade

How the fuck is he not starting day 1. Jeez man. I was wrong about Milton ...I’ll eat crow here as i was a big believer/defender and thought he would progress....yikes i was wrong. I wish him nothing but the best but he isn’t a B1G QB at all. To all i argued with, crow burger is being consumed.

also.....fire DB now, I’ll be happy when he is the head coach for UMASS or some shit. GTFO

Milton is too easily rattled, but that's part of the reason he shouldn't start. But in his defense, If that pass isn't fumbled on the first possession, who knows what happens. Yet Cade needs to start from here on out.

During the game one of the announcers made an interesting comment. He said that Josh Gattis told him that Cade has "the IT FACTOR".

If that is so, why would it take so long to have him play when it appears that Milton doesn't have that or does Gattis say that about everyone?
