I get that there are a ton of NJ Michigan alumni and nowhere near as many in Iowa, but it's funny to me that Rutgers tickets are more expensive and more controlled (i.e., you can only buy two Rutgers vs. four Iowa tickets).  Because the Iowa game could actually be ... good.

I assume the price is driven by the venue and not by Michigan? If the AD is simply using a standard markup based on however much they had to pay for the tickets, it could be that Rutgers is charging more because this is their biggest home game of the year (next biggest would be Iowa and PSU). I'm not sure how these agreements work though.

I totally agree. I went to the Rose Bowl this year (free tix so why not) and I sat behind an Iowa fan. He was wearing the most ridiculous hat ever. It was like an Iowa helmet, but it featured arms covering the ears and protruding out as flexed biceps and forearms.

I had just watched us destroy Florida at my tailgate and was wearing my UM shirt and hat. Every time Iowa went 3 and out or had a bad pass I'd say "if only you guys had Rudock you'd be in this game". He was not amused, but my dad and I were pretty buzzed and had a good laugh at his expense.

I know, cool story bro, but I laugh every time I think about that guy. Here's hoping little McCaffrey can get us to the Rose Bowl and set some records of his own for the good guys.

Love Rudock as much as if he played here 4 years, he will always have a special place in my  heart. Go Blue!  Go Lions!  Then go MCATs!

PS: It's Friday at 2:44 and  I'll use as many ! s as I want... Cheers!

How does one accumulate points on this cite. I've been reading for years, but never really participate too much. Id like to start if I could.

Post lots of .gifs of Kate Upton dancing in a string bikini.

Brian loves those.  He'll probably even give you some bonus points.  I think that's how mgoteacher1 got all of his points.

The basic way to do this - if you are in fact interested in making meaningles numbers larger - is to just keep contributing posts, or if you so desire, diaries or original board content. What happens then is that, as the points accumulate, you are under increasing risk of being accused of being in fact an account maintained by WD (I kid, I kid).

Don't feel bad though - one guy waited eight years to make his first post. I think it was his only post to date, but that was an impressive feat indeed. Usually, it doesn't take eight years to feel compelled to speak up around these parts.

For Rutgers I'll just get them on StubHub.  Don't mind being in a non-Michigan section.  There's going to be a lot of blue in the seats for this game and by midway through the second quarter the Rutgers faithful won't be making a lot of noise.  Let's just say the field should be pretty safe from storming.

Heading to Iowa, which will knock off #10 of original 11 Big Ten stadiums (from the bucket list thread).  Last one will be @Wisconsin next year.

Surprised Rutgers tix are more expensive. Partially makes sense since it's a smaller stadium and there are thousands of UM alums in the area, but Iowa is a good, maybe great team and that game will be likely Iowa's red letter home game for the season.

Prime time night matchup in November, when a lot could be on the line for both teams.

I tried figuring out how many points it would take to get out of the endzone. For my first year and 22 pts i was pretty thrilled with my seats, about as close as you could get to entrance /exit  so I could stay till the end and still catch a table at ashley's. but it'd be cool to move toward the 50.

I did some math based on standard deviations and a post someone had a few years ago list points and percentiles. But then I realized it was futile and gave up. I'm guessing if you have less than 60ish points your total doesn't matter much.

I have 29 btw.

I was so bummed with the last post that it was like 150pts to get tickets, I'm like forget it.  But at 54 points and wanting to go to Iowa not OSU...... Count me in!  Just bought tickets.  Figured they are probably bad seats, but if I'm going all that way I want to be surrounded by kinderd spirits!  Here's to tailgating and hoping that global  warming just happens to influence temps right when we are there... here's to high 60s in the day.. dipping to 45 later that night.

Already asked for it off.  Will be driving with a buddy, might be interested in offering a ride to a couple other fans that are willing to split the gas.
