I just dropped in to reply to your "GTFO" comment..

I've got nothing against Kenny Rogers and the First Edition. I was playing their music on my college radio shows way back in the sixties and seventies, and any band with a song on The Big Lebowski soundtrack is okay with me. But their "Reuben James" wasn't the first "Reuben James" song I'd heard.

Agree about the influence Woody Guthrie has had on the generations of musicians who've followed him.

If there weren't a strict NO POLITICS rule here, I'd add a link to the song that referenced Woody's one-time landlord, but here's Woody's version of The Sinking of the Reuben James song (that is NOT the same song as the "Reuben James" song from Kenny Rogers:

I feel like we need to dig that thread out of the HOF now and again just to show some of the newbies the way that it could be sometimes around here. I think some of the hardest laughs I had on this blog were in that thread.

Do people think they're cool by posting this shit? "Who?"

A player on a team of which you are supposed to be a fan.

Idiot. Almost every time someone leaves the team some douchebag posts that reply.

This is a stupid comment.  Scholarships aren't given out based on whose parents need them the most.  GRIII, and Tim Hardaway Jr didn't need scholarships either but they still got them because they deserved them.  I highly doubt Harbaugh takes parents' (or brothers') income into account when deciding who deserves to be on scholarship.

Also, didn't Jake Rudock stay at Iowa in order to complete his degree requirements before he transferred to the University of Michigan during the summer?

If Brandon Peters is leaving, then it would make sense for him to complete his degree requirements first and then worry about learning a new playbook for his new team.

As others have said, it's not about meeting Michigan's graduate requirements...it's about graduating and meeting the NCAA's.

So he'll be enrolled through the spring. See if he can win a starting job (highly unlikely, but you never know). Then he'll graduate either at the end of the spring or end of the summer and transfer without penalty and have TWO more years of eligibility.

He could have possibly had a role like Uche has had due to his smaller size, just never really seemed to materialize for him. Best of luck

He'll always be the answer to a UM football trivia question ("Who was Harbaugh's first recruit?").

Also, it says "something about something" that Michigan will have only one 5th-year senior contributing next year.
