Road Jersey's
Instead of beating up the State sucks, Forcier's Shoulder topic, I was wondering if people thought Michigan would debut some modified road jersey's this week? I do not anticipate anything drastic, but I wouldn't be surprised if they lost that Maize stripes or whatever it is underneath the arms. I think most would have agreed last year that it didn't seem like Michigan's style to have these modern stripes on their jersey's (a much more tame version of Cal). I would like to see it go and instead of making a huge deal about it they just do it and phase out the Jersey's they are selling w/ the stripes on it. My wife has the $50 version of it from last year and it doesn't even have it on there.
On MSU I loved watching them lose and love being 4-0 but it sets up a no win for us. We win they state fans say "oh well, we suck" or they win "FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCK Michigan YOU SUCK HAHAHAHA" Part of me is glad to be out of the state this weekend.

If UM wins, MSU is done for the season. I really think 3-9 would be optimistic.
If MSU wins, Michigan is 4-1, and MSU is 2-3. BFD, give 'em two in a row, who cares, we move on toward our real rival.
The point is: Michigan is really close to playing with "house money" the rest of the season.
Sparty is really close to a collapse of epic proportions. Dantonio spews out bad karma, we know what a bitch that can be.
As for road jerseys, anything as long as it's not maize with blue numbers/lettering. I have nightmares about that...

I think we'd have heard by now if they planned on bringing out something different. This crappy weird striping pattern was introduced long before this time last year.

I was at MDen the second week in August and they had not gotten the new jerseys in for the season yet. Then the week before the first game I went to MDen and they had all the new jerseys to sell for the season and the white jersey's didn't look any different. I am sure they are the same because Adidas would not be producing last season's white jersey's if a new one was being worn on Saturday at State. Just my 2 cents.

Yellow on Yellow (or maize on maize in our case) just doesn't work:
Still not great, but I don't mind the Yellow (maize) on Blue as much:

I would guess the road jerseys look something like this...

BTW, you can buy them at the MDen

Not thrilled with the stripes or the smaller numbers. I'd still like to see all white like the early Bo teams used.

The stripes are cursed. We add stripes and the team goes to sh*t last year. There is a precedent. In 1995 the mighty Duke basketball team added blue stripes on the shoulders of the jerseys. What happened? Their streak of NCAA tournament appearances is snapped. Stripes are removed after that year and they have been back to the dance every year since. Sure some might say it was because Coach K had to leave the team due to back sugery and some might say Michigan's woes were due to personnel not fitting the system.
But be leery of the stripes. They'll get ya.

Tarheel fans contend that he left for back surgery because of that team.

The $50 (replica) version of the jersey is usually not the same as the official jersey (authentic).

we should also wear our home unis whenever we play at OSU, Minny, Ind, and Wis.
It's legal now, with prior agreement. Or, you can just take a charged timeout. Thx Pete C!
