I agree that Herron coming back is huge. I am sure how good Mike Jones and Brandon Herron are as LB'ers. I tend to lean that they are ok, but not great, with Mike Jones being better of the two. However, I don't think it is much of a coincidence that we went from a not great, but good enough to win some games this year type of defense, to closing your eyes when they are on the field after ND when Jones and Herron got hurt. Roh having more flexibility to rush the passer is huge.

Roh can concentrate on getting after the QB and there could be a 4 man rush with Roh/Black coming off the edge.  As long as Roh doesn't drop back in coverage, I think that it has a positive benefits for Michigan defense with regards to putting pressure on the QB.

The more bodies we have out there the better on defense.

I really want Shaw out there.  I am pretty convinced that Rich Rod trusts no one other than Shaw and Vincent Smith in a game that's not out of reach, and we are going to need those guys to step up to take advantage of all the attention they will be paying Denard.

We're going to learn a lot about our team this weekend, I can't wait.

I think that if Mike Shaw can be pretty healthy for saturday he will have a big game. Out of that option that we will run because you know Greg Jones will be spying Denard all game. and I think Denard will be handing it to his RB shaw or Smith more then he has most of the year, we will find out alot more about this Michigan team after saturday.

I'm ecstatic Herron is back, freeing up Roh. I think this gives us much more variety in 3 & 4 man fronts, BTW.

Regarding Shaw, whatever. The OLine is doing such a tremendous job, it doesn't matter as much who is serving as RB. Sure, he's good, or at least better than the others, but in essence, isn't Denard our number one RB? I'm really waiting for Toussaint. Also think it is too soon to give up on Hopkins and Cox.

Shaw will play. I think this is big. He is clearly the number one guy and will be important when they overload to try to stop Denard. The offense is fully loaded and ready to go.
