Yep - in fact they choked to be only up by 16. Could have bee 28
December 29th, 2019 at 12:24 AM ^
Coulda been 28-0, as 9 of those points were FGs that should have been TDs. They saved up all their mistakes for today. Too bad they couldn't have spent a few against us...

Online State puts most of their energy into beating Michigan. Maybe if they saved some of that for other teams they would be the next dynasty. Alas, here we are with Online State aspiring to a national title but losing yet again. This one was heartbreaking.
December 29th, 2019 at 1:08 AM ^
Ever think they put as much into beating Michigan as Michigan does into beating Indiana. Maybe they win just cause they are better
If was all about wanting it more than series be lot closer than 1 for 18
December 29th, 2019 at 1:15 AM ^
Uh oh...we got a t[tm]OSU apologist in here.

Online State is a good team but lost and we enjoy such things.

Yes...this needs to be a thing - Online State U

Fields has more picks tonight than classes he has ever attended at OSU.
December 29th, 2019 at 12:31 AM ^
They studied us so much this year that our redzone offense and our other miscues finally rubbed off on them.
December 29th, 2019 at 12:33 AM ^
Osu saves all their mistakes for non conference games. They’re 1-3 against top 25 non conference teams since Harbaugh has been at UM.
**(Non playoff bowl games don’t matter. Teams and coaches treat them with wildly inconsistent levels of seriousness so they’re impossible to evaluate)
December 29th, 2019 at 2:44 AM ^
1-3. What a huge sample size.

Don’t feel the need to stop - I, for one, am enjoying your posts

Can we get a Clemson / OSU
UFR?
Was amazing to see a team actually force OSU into 3rd downs!?! Wish we could do the same. When Clemson did blitz it was highly effective too
December 29th, 2019 at 12:54 AM ^
Having a strong run stopping d-line helps, it turns out. We had NFL'ers up and down the line in 2016, coincidently the best game we've played vs those smucks under Harbaugh.
December 29th, 2019 at 1:58 AM ^
It turns out that teams that win at the LOS on both sides of the ball (blocking/shedding blocks and tackling) generally win.
Turnovers are the wild card.
December 29th, 2019 at 2:09 AM ^
I mean Dobbins almost got 200 yds rushing....
would just like to see a closer look at whar Clemson did. Not sure it was any one thing but they actually got OSU into third downs and the blitzes they did have seeemd money every time
not sure how they got to 3rd down or why they didn’t get gashed more by the pass
better players then UM given but would be nice to see the scheme

Most of his yards came early. Clemson didn’t shut him down, but certainly contained him in the 2nd half.
They made adjustments than worked.

29 - 7 the rest of the way.
Coaching genius that Ryan Day.

You sure are bitter. Got you ass kicked by Clemson again. 0-4. Winless. Up the payroll!

You must lead a sad lonely life to be hanging out on a Michigan blog after that loss.
December 29th, 2019 at 12:46 AM ^
All this fool has is us.
That's pathetic.
I'm sure he's all Xichigan and TSUN and whatever.
Sad.

Is that the amount of days it’ll take you to get over you blowing it in the CFP? Lol kick rocks nerd.

Day definitely looks like he's got more Tressel in him than Meyer
Conservative play calling in the biggest game of his life. OSU didn't beat Bama in 2015 by kicking fgs in the red zone
Swiss cheese defense in the biggest moments. Granted this was expected with Mattison, but glad to see it come to fruition
December 29th, 2019 at 12:34 AM ^
considering hes averaging 65/game vs michigan, i wouldn't have labeled him conservative.
December 29th, 2019 at 12:38 AM ^
M Go Johnny? I'm rolling on the floor in your misery bro. Ear to ear smile. Wasted season with all that talent. You should have won it all with that payroll.

So...you are a Alabama fan for one day tomorrow?
December 29th, 2019 at 12:36 AM ^
Yeah but the choke job vs Muschump to cost the B1G a perfect bowl season 2 years ago was pretty bad too.

You didn’t use the magic word
December 29th, 2019 at 12:54 AM ^
We weren't playing for anything special against S. Carolina. Online State had their best team in history, biggest payroll, and they lost in epic fashion when just holding a lead would've gotten them to the NC game. I'd rather lose to S. Carolina than endure the misery that Online will endure for quite a while.
December 29th, 2019 at 12:55 AM ^
What does that have to do with anything??? Ohio state lost bask in their pain and suffering. I wish we were causing that pain and suffering but alas we need to wait...for now I’m celebrating!

Good job Greg you fucking cunt.
December 29th, 2019 at 12:57 AM ^
This was supposed to be a transition year where Greg mentors Jeff Hafley into their new DC. Whoops he gone to BC. Maybe he should have scouted Trevor Lawrence rather than interview for new jobs. Sucks to suck!

Their luck generator only works in The Game. Outside of that, turns out some bad luck can go their way.

OSU ran into a team with equal talent and crumbled. They buried teams with inferior talent all season and had seen nothing like this.
Clemson's schedule was even more dogshit than OSU's, but the difference is that the leaders on that team have been here before and knew how to play in this kind of game. Credit Ryan Day for having his team ready to go from the start, but Clemson's experience won out. The Tigers got themselves into a hole, but hung on until they could figure things out and really get it going. It will be interesting to see if they can slow LSU down enough to have a chance.
As much as everyone likes to slobber all over Meyer, he hadn't seen the playoffs since 2016 where he got embarrassed. OSU actually showed some fight last night and scored the first Big Ten points in the playoff since 2014. Congrats, Bucks!
