Realistic best case scenario for bball

1) Sign Juwan Howard as HC

2) Maintain Yaklich and maybe one other assistant   to ease Howard’s transition from NBA to college and maintain some continuity

3) regain Jalen Wilson commitment

.

.

.

*Extra* 4) Juwan Howard flexes his recruiting prowess and lands nephew Jaden McDaniels... One can dream, right?

Honestly the given the timing this seems plausible and leaves the program in a solid state.

If all of this happens Michigan basketball will be in a very good spot. Hopefully helping keep the commitment of Zeb Jackson strong in the process. That kid is going to be good and will help continue our success with guards moving forward

Best case scenario is we hire a guy of character that competes at the highest level, and can recruit/develop talent around his scheme. Dont care to be 1 and done factory.

FWIW, I heard through the grapevine that Bajema is planning on decommiting this week.  I don't personally know him, but we have some mutual friends.  Who knows if hiring a new coach (and retaining any assistants) would have an effect on his decision.

I am on Juwan bandwagon from Day 1. Losing Beilein is tough, but Juwan certainly will bring in a lot of excitement this off-season.

1. I am sure that Juwan will retain some of Beilein's staff, just now sure who might complement him the best. There are words that Juwan is more of a defensive assistant coach for Heat.

2. I am more optimistic on McDaniels than Wilson.

Don’t sleep on Ed Cooley. Seems like he got an interview today in Florida with Warde. Warde made 1 public statement, he mentioned a coach with previous head coaching success. Howard doesn’t have this. Still think Cooley in play for job, probably more serious of a candidate than we think.
