Ravens players celebrate, mock John Harbaugh’s birthday with hilarious shirt
Sorry if this isn't allowed I just thought this was awesome and hilarious.
And I really liked this statement: "Still, it seems to be all in good fun as the team has really rallied around the family atmosphere Harbaugh has established in Baltimore."
Love the Harbaughs!

Remember when people were calling for him to be fired a few years ago? Patience is sometimes key and that culture can never truly develop if you're just turning over coaches regularly. On the flipside, a culture like the one in Detroit is truly ingrained and turning over coaches is a byproduct of shit culture from the top.

Patience is key. True. But having Lamar Jackson on your team and being the reigning league MVP helps just as much, if not more than that.
I'd argue that guy saved Harbaugh's job more than people having patience and letting a culture develop in Baltimore. Harbaugh has been there for 12 years. Whatever culture he was going to have is and has already been there for some time.

Maybe trusting the culture that led to a Super Bowl to rebuild itself.

True that having Lamar Jackson helped, a lot but John Harbaugh deserves a ton of credit for completely revamping his offense to fit Jackson's talents so they could get the most out of him. They didn't put him in a box where he would be limited but instead, created an entirely new box just for him.

I would totally agree. Most NFL types stick to the same worn out strategies and Lamar Jackson required a new strategy. John deserves huge credit for taking that leap of faith.

Yeah a lot of the success can be attributed to Jackson. But let’s not forget that Harbaugh was the one to draft him, and flip the script mid season. Not wait. And now with Jackson they are playing to win games and pushing the envelope.

The same script sure worked for his brother with Kap.

I’d argue it worked better.... not sure what playoff games Jackson won that Kap didn’t

Good thing John Harbaugh also had the legendary Joe Flacco to win him a superbowl too. Against his brother none the less. How lucky he is to have such good luck with Quarterbacks that make him look good.

He didn't need Lamar Jackson to win this.

Yea I was really excited about the Lions getting him if he got fired. Sadly, Detroit ended up with another Patriots scrub.

Way more intimidating than my E.T. version hahaha

They didn't come here to play school

I heard that they got Lou Holtz to proofread it.

The elevator does not ascend to the top floor.

Hmmm... there does seem to be a family resemblance.
September 24th, 2020 at 12:24 PM ^
I thought the exact same thing! I don't see it as much when they are both calm - but fired up? Could almost be the same man

The expression on John's face could be from a horror film when the main character discovers his entire family has been ripped to shreds by an alien monster.

Cue the Italian Spiderman surprised guy gif.

Out of curiosity, I just googled Ozzie Newsome, GM for the Ravens since their inception, and saw that he stepped down after the 2018 season. He's 64, which isn't young but it's not decrepit either.
Maybe Sheila Ford Hamp should give him a call—at the minimum he could serve as a consultant for a search for a new GM.

“He's 64, which isn't young but it's not decrepit either.”
Being 64, I couldn’t agree more. 8~)

As long as he brings the Ravens franchise with him, because no way he would come to the dumpster fire that are the Lions.
September 24th, 2020 at 6:53 PM ^
I think Sheila could do the job herself instead of hiring Ozzie. Just draft Alabama players. That's all. /s

What a great family that has contributed so much to the sport of football at every level.

Wonder how Dobbins & Harrison like playing for the older Harbaugh.
September 24th, 2020 at 1:17 PM ^
Thanks for posting. Love the Harbaughs.
September 24th, 2020 at 1:17 PM ^
One thing that cannot be argued about the Harbaughs, almost to a detriment for their wins and losses: the players come first, second, and third and you can see that the vast majority of former and current players love them

Yet, the general public (ie: non-UM alum/fans) largely abhors Jim. And it's based, mostly, on sound bites that only give half a story...
He's shirtless on a recruiting trip? For SHAME!!! No matter that a game was organized with players and coaches, and shirts/skins is still common today.
He climbed a tree on a recruiting trip? For SHAME!!! No matter that David Long's little sister (9, or so) asked him to fetch the ball she lost in it.
Giving shade to other coaches on Twitter? For SHAME!!! No matter that they initiated the shade by disparaging his program.
Crapping on OSU's AD? For SHAME!!! No matter that Smith crapped on Michigan football by name for no reason.
So many more to list...
