Rashan Gary is fast.
Or 65+ young men in the case of MSU.
Rashan was in the locker room for half an hour holding court--pictures with A LOT of the campers before they went out on the field. MInd you Ruiz, Runyan, Bredeson, Newsome etc. were strolling around and getting little attention at the same time. Plus he seemed a natural teaching at the camp and appeared to be having a great time. (Some of the other big guys were not so engaged).
So the times posted are all consistent with the spring camp times posted by Harbaugh - except Higdon is now about a quarter second faster? Pretty awesome to have that kind of speed backing up Chris Evans this fall.
During game : rarely runs more than 15 yds during a play
Bench press for QB may be most useless work out stat

Ehh, I think bench press for punter would like to have a word with you.
for the DL.
He's very slippery. Has great agility and change of direction pace. He's not a straight line runner as much as Higdon is. Higdon also isn't a "burner" (sorry OP) but he's super fast in a straight line and I don't anticipate many safeties on our schedule this year to be able to catch up to Evans or Higdon in the open field. Maybe only a few defensive backs would catch them from behind on our schedule.
He looks very quick in a short burst as well, which is more important than 40 time, but harder to measure.
Gary is probably faster than Trace McSorely.
Rashan Gary in the Wildcat?
Refrigerator Gary.
Hell yeah on game-winning downs. Dude is clutch and unstoppable that role. But like dilithium we should conserve The Energy.
"you don't have to be faster than the bear, you just have to be faster than the guy next to you."
In this case, it doesn't matter which guy McSorely is, there's no doubt Rashan Gary is the bear.
And people made a big deal out of #1 draft pick Myles Garrets 4.62 40yd dash
Gary has all the ingrediants of a future #1 overall pick
Exciting!
