Random: JJ McCarthy wore customized cleats during the Rose Bowl
This popped up on my instagram feed, but Jadafromtheblock (Ladarius Henderson's wife) runs a shoe customization business and does some pretty damn good work. She did some cleats for Mike Sainristil before The Game and then added roses to the heel of JJ's cleats before the Rose Bowl.
I did wonder if he actually wore these, so here is post-game evidence of him wearing these custom cleats. You can just make out the roses on his heels. Pretty damn sweet.

They look like “standard” Michigan Nike cleats with some “artistry” - which I recognize and appreciate.
It’s not like he’s wearing Louis Vuitton cleats - that at least one other player in the conference donned this season.
i think there’s a noticeable difference between those two examples of “custom” cleats / shoes.
