Quicklane Bowl thread: WMU vs Nevada

11am on ESPN.

Hopefully a home game crowd for WMU.  Nevada is apparently out a large number of players & coaches.

Since covid canceled the Military Bowl, this is the only bowl game today.  Enjoy!

Might be worth watching just to see Nevada's starting QB at 6'9". The reviews say he is a running quarterback.  Their regular QB is out with Covid.

I've been to two recent Motor City Bowls in '18 and '19 at Ford Field, but both were at night early in the week. ESPN has to show MNF later.

Anyway, I love catching random teams at a familiar venue. If I didn't have a one year old to watch, I might go down there for a matinee game and hit up one of the bars afterwards for early dinner. Hope all the KZoo folks are enjoying themselves.

WMU holds Nevada to 3 & out on a massive 3rd down sack.

Fun fact:  the Nevada QB (backup since normal QB opted out) is 6' 9" and is the tallest person to play FBS QB.

I couldn’t believe the spread yesterday and was about to throw everything on Nevada. Until I heard about their issues.

Might be a preview of next year's Michigan broadcast team on 1270 in Detroit (Audacy.com app or stream).  Doug Karsch PBP with Jon Jansen on color.  Karsch is a much better PBP guy than I would have expected.
