Purchasing 2014 Football Season Tickets (re: Faculty/Staff email)
I am hoping to get some feedback from those who received the faculty/staff email to purchase tickets this year (donate $100 instead of $500, faculty/staff discount, etc).
Were you allowed to directly speak with someone about seat location and availability before purchasing? They offered me a ticket package through this process, but it is generic (in that there are no seat locations/assignments) and they want this to be paid first. They have told me seat assignments will be determined in the summer.
Has anyone else been offered this and "forced" to pay for the season tickets before seeing where you will have seats?
First time ticket buyers get slotted in the endzone according to the ticket office. You don't pick your seats.
Yea, you don't pick that as a firsttimer. They slot you in to what's left. You can upgrade it for your second year though (which would be a better schedule also).
Well, they're not cheap yet... I've been watching for tix to the Rutgers game, but still mid 100's to 200's for decent seats.
yea, i know it's at rutgers obviously. the ones at the big house aren't cheap either. go check it out.
you're in high school. don't worry about it. just go to prom and relax.
But has any announcement been made about the multi-game packs? I'd like to grab up a set that includes PSU, homecoming, and *insert random game*.
PSU and homecoming won't be in the same package.
I just got an email today offering me more tickets. Full fees and in the endzone. Said they would be very low or very high. Looks like faculty and staff didn't snap up the leftovers, so I'm sure a bunch of people got the email today.
Buy them on stub hub.
But the multi-game packs are usually $85/game (I think)? While the homecoming game and I'm assuming a game like Utah will be available for cheaper on Stubhub, I am assuming the PSU ticket alone would be enough to make up the difference. Night game and biggest home game of the year is a recipe for $200+ on Stubhub.
When you do that math: three games through U-M at even $90/game is $270. If we assume the PSU night game hits $200 on stub hub, I would leave myself with only $70 to get a better deal for two games. So, in my estimation (which is probably wrong lol), I can support the athletic department and pay the same amount.
