Predictions for the Weasel Bowl

Submitted by Lordfoul on

It is that time again for silly, probably ill-informed predictions of how the game on Saturday will play out.  I, as always, see a Michigan win (for sure this season will at some point crush these pregame feelings out of me).  Just look at the logic:

Yep, not a doubt in my mind (no really, plenty of doubt).  Michigan will achieve the upset by putting pressure on the Badger QB early and often, possibly knocking him out of the game and for sure at least leading to shaky play.  Once we have made them one dimensional towards a ground attack, our safties cheat up and we shut them down completely.  Our linebackers kill moose.

On offense I expect at least half a new playbook, with a lot of plays we haven't seen yet and that have been taylor made for McGuffie and Threet to exploit.  I can't say what these will even look like, but like pornography, I'll know it when I see it.

Zoltan will boom punts and rule space.  Lopata will be 4/4 on FGs.

Michigan wins - 26-17.

GO BLUE!!!  Beat them Badgers!!!

I think that Wisconsin comes in as the better team, and I would not be surprised to see a score of Wisconsin 31 Michigan 17. The Wolverines continue to get better, but they will be playing a team with superior players at key positions (QB, RB, OL) on offense and a lot of veterans.

I hope that I am wrong. Go Blue!

Not optimistic about this one.  Utah is the best team we've played so far and after seeing some of their other games, they really aren't that good.  Wisconsin is a giant leap up in talent.  Further, their main strength (Bruising tight ends, runningback) matches up perfectly with our main weakness.  My prediction: Wisconsin 28 Michigan 10

I'll be damned if we don't win this game by at least 2 touchdowns.  How confident am I?  I will give everyone who reads this blog 20 bucks if we lose.

You have to pick it up from my house in Hermosa Beach, though.

i say the game is gonna go by fast with all the running. in the end we give up a big play with the run and a big play to beckum with the pass and we lose 31-13, with the two field goals in the first half and a late td. unfortunately i hav been having nightmares about threet getting injured and sheridan coming in and providing wisc with a td. i hope i am wrong
