Um, all of them... Seriously, every team can tick off a list of times they were "screwed" by a bad call or bad luck. Now, if we are talking about insufferable given what they have actually accomplished, then totally MSU. They've been to the Rose Bowl twice in my lifetime, yet they act like they are an upper-echelon team.

I didn't even have to hesitate when deciding who to vote for. I was at the MSU game in East Lansing and my seats were around a bunch of middle aged MSU alum. The whole game was a constant bitchfest about the refs. More than once I heard this from random MSU bitchtit alums, "Of COURSE they won't get called for |insert random penalty that didn't actually occur here|, they're MICHIGAN!!!"

As of a quarter after 4, the poll is now up on 9 of 11 Big Ten(?) team fan sites (does Wisconsin have Internet fans?) and so far it's MSU and PSU. Do I detect...a rivalry? Either way, according to those polled so far, it looks like a pretty sure thing that no matter which team is victorious on November 21, the other guys will know whom to blame.

I think he's right when you ask it the way this thread is titled. Part of that is the ability to do so (we have plenty of blogs and a couple boards), the rest is the general entitlement factor.

I think most UofM fans would be inclined to say MSU, since we live in the same communities and have to put up with each others fans. Likewise, MSU fans would say UofM. Additionally, as an example, if Northwestern was in the state of Michigan, they would not have zero votes as the poll currently shows. All schools have some fans that whine and probably all fans whine at least a little now and then. To be honest, I like Penn State, but some of their fans still whine about calls from years ago, so I chose them.

It's especially funny after a team loses to hear their radio guys read the names of the officials off one by one over the air. That always cracks me up. I can't recall who exactly did that but it was funny, even though some would say that was criminal jim.

See comment above about "crashing a party you were invited to" and "hijacking a plane to Detroit and yelling 'TAKE ME TO DETROIT!'" It seems we don't need a poll to find out which Big Ten fans are the most annoying: here, Spartan, have a microphone.

Initial returns actually were pretty promising, but they were also skewed toward the biases of the teams that got the poll first: Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Wisconsin, Iowa, Purdue, Northwestern. One thing I noticed early on was every time a new team got the poll, they themselves would often spike a bit. It seems a lot of folks vote for themselves. However, MSU still hadn't voted and I was having trouble getting it to them. So I e-mailed Trevor Barnes of Spartan Tailgate to get the link posted for Spartan fans. I also put it up on The Only Colors. Apparently, he put it up. He also, amidst the five pages of trolling Spartans, jumped on the poll comments to say "Owned!" My hypothesis, when posting the poll, was that Michigan would end up on top. As noted earlier in these comments, we've got the largest and most considered fanbase in the conference, and also the most rivals. It stands to reason we'd end this thing ahead. However, there's a big difference between Michigan ending this ahead because we bitch more, and Michigan coming out on top because WOOOO SPARTAN POWER! Before Spartan Attack! last night, MSU and Penn State were in the lead, with MSU sizeably ahead. This was expected: more votes were coming in from Michigan than anywhere else, and since the poll wasn't released to Spartans yet it was almost assuredly Michigan in-staters voting based on their biased experiences. A surprising number of Penn State votes came from Pennsylvania addresses. Figure that one out as you like. Anyway, no more poll. Let's everybody else in the Big Ten give a nice round of sarcastic clapping for Michigan State fans for hijacking a plane to Detroit and yelling "TAKE ME TO DETROIT! AHAHAHAHAH!" If I'm ever in an argument where the question comes down to the relative intelligence of Michigan State fans versus other Big Ten fans, I reserve the right to point to the comments on this poll, and their ringleader.
