Pac-12 has fans vote for championship game logo
Pac 12 is kicking the Big Ten's ass as far as logos and conference names are concerned. Itd be nice if the Big Ten's fans were allowed to vote for such things.
I like Delaney's stance more:
Step 1: Name divisions yourself
Step 2: See that your division names get a 90% disapproval rating
Step 3: "Look into it"
Step 4: Decide, "ehhh....they'll warm up to it with time"
It's like what Eric Cartman would do running the B1G
Step 5:
<br>Step 6: profit
...but Cartman would eat a lot more than Delaney does.
fans are idiots, why would you trust them with something you are going to be stuck with for the next decade at least?
and fan attendance pay the bills. This is one of those things that is perfect for fan input.
"seats are for asses" - pete rose
i hate pete rose, but this is a pretty good quote
I like No. 1 but the Championship banner needs to be straight across to go with the rest of the logo.
Every single one of those logos has something that makes me hate it.
1) "Championship" needs to be straight across. The wave looks dumb.
2) Why is "Championship" separated in the banner? I don't like that.
3) Everything looks fine I like this one it's pretty cool looking yeah wait oh my god what in the hell is with the background spike design holy hell my eyes.
4) The Roman numerals look terrible. This ain't the Super Bowl. Stop.
In conclusion, it's 3:15 and I want my 3-day weekend to begin already.
It's a nice nod to the old logo. Tying into history is important.
every singlr logo is still better than the B1G
I liked number 4 the most, but that's not saying much. The other 3 seemed too plain. Bu the Pac 12 is definitely getting the fan approval, which is necessary.
because fans would not watch their favorite team if they were not asked about the logo for the conference championship game?
Because fans who watch any Big Ten games will be thinking, "Man, what a stupid logo," and "Man, stupid division names." It's all about getting fan buy-in. Even if the crappiest logo wins, fans will know they were a part of the process. It's change management 101 as far as seeking input of stakeholders (which fans are) and getting buy-in. Neither of which the Big Ten did.
"fans who watch any Big Ten games"
i understand the buy-in stuff, but there is something refreshing in the B1G process about them saying "go ahead, i dare you not to watch this game because of this logo and these division names. i dare you. oh, you are still there? STFU and go buy some rotel!"
I liked 1 for some reason
I liked number 4 the most, but that's not saying much. The other 3 seemed too plain. Bu the Pac 12 is definitely getting the fan approval, which is necessary.
I don't think there's anything wrong with getting fan input, but assuming none of the fan input logos are good, I don't see any problem with hiring a company to integrate the best facets. At least it's better than Delaney's "hey, look what we did" approach.
Logo 3 was the best. The B1G needs to talk to the Pac-12 and learn some fan relation skills. I'm sure we could have picked a better logo and division names than what we were given by Delaney & Co.
3.
4 and 1 are awful.
#3 is the best IMO. #2 is decent. I don't like the other two at all.
The Pac-12 championship logo and league logo both need to have the number 50%, representing the portion of the conference's game tickets that are sold. They may have a good team or two every year, but -- outside of Oregon, recently -- Pac-12 fan bases are some of the lamest in America.
