How were you able to create this thread?
December 16th, 2011 at 1:41 PM ^
This is like the 3rd or 4th post of this nature I've seen. It looks weird and it's from a poster with less than 100 pts. They are apparently doing it via the phone app?
December 16th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
C'mon man. "they"? I'm a fan just like everyone else. Sorry I broke a rule I didn't know existed. Take it easy.

December 16th, 2011 at 7:40 PM ^
Seriously...if they have a problem with the thread, then they don't need to post on it. Some idiots did it to me the other day.
December 16th, 2011 at 1:41 PM ^
I'm on my iPhone at work. Did I do something wrong? Apologies if I offended anyone.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:25 PM ^
The topic just isn't "thread worthy"...questions like this you ask when you're joking hanging out with your buddies. Not on here where it just clutters up the board and pisses people off more than it should.
December 16th, 2011 at 1:42 PM ^
Yeah seriously, what the hell? This is the reason we have a minimum point value to post.
December 16th, 2011 at 1:44 PM ^
Sorry folks, I wasn't aware of the point minimum. Please delete.
December 16th, 2011 at 1:56 PM ^
The sub-parness of your post aside, you really didn't break any rules. The website is supposed to be coded to require posters to have a minimum of 100 points to create a new thread. I was just surprised that you created a thread with only 30 points.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:00 PM ^
The "sub-parness". Man, I'm getting no love today. I think it's an interesting question and given we're still a few weeks away from the game and there's not much news worthy I thought it might be interesting to kick around. I guess I'll just take my ideas and go cry in the corner now.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:13 PM ^
Don't let it get you down, man. We all have our down days. Let this friendly horse lift your spirits.

I'll give him over, but just by a little. I'm thinkin 4 or 5 before he starts experiencing 'chest pains' again
December 16th, 2011 at 2:11 PM ^
I'll give him until the M-OSU game next year.

In actual relation to the thread, over 3 but under 7!
December 16th, 2011 at 3:14 PM ^
Under at 2. And Mods, thanks for leaving this thread up and open. I appreciate it!

Rather than just throwing out insults, maybe we should elaborate a little more on the negative reaction to this thread.
The topic is a poor one for two reasons. Firstly, it has been discussed ad nauseam on every single Urban Meyer thread starting back when his new job at Ohio was simply a rumor. It's beating a dead horse at this point. It's not something that should be rehashed without new information or insight to report. Secondly, it's a fairly tasteless subject to begin with. It would be like starting a topic on how many more seizures Jerry Kill will have.
At Mgoblog we try to raise the bar a little bit on conversation topics, try to keep them a few notches above the shitfest that is the internet. The purpose of requiring a point total to start new topics is not because we don't like new people, but rather to give you time to settle in, and become familiar with what sorts of things make for good thread topics and which don't.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:18 PM ^
December 16th, 2011 at 2:23 PM ^
Meyer actually had any real "heart" problems, and not just an upset stomach.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:31 PM ^
If I offended. Clearly I wasn't involved in the earlier threads. Regarding the Jerry Kill comparison, while I agree that would be very tasteless I am of the opinion that one Urban Meyer became ill because he knew his program was headed off the cliff (see this year's record). With all respect I will happily wait to build up some points (and "become familiar with what sorts of things make for good thread topics) before starting another thread, but I submit to you that on a slow Friday it's ok to have a little fun at your rival's expense.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:37 PM ^
BTW, I don't think there is any better way to learn what to post and what not to post than to post something.
Also, no matter what you post, ever, it will get negative comments and feedback. You can post that the best recruit ever just committed to UofM and there will still be people whining about your formatting, thread title, and lack of a link.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:53 PM ^
I've been reading this blog for a couple years, but I only recently decided to post. The thing I hate most when reading is the posting police who have nothing better to do than correct every grammar, spelling or titling error.
December 16th, 2011 at 4:42 PM ^
I was also unaware until just recently that there is a much larger MGoBoard if you click on the link in the top-right corner. For a long time, I only saw what was in the right margin and was not aware that there were so many topics.
People might not realize just how many threads are open on the board if they do not know to look at the entire thing.

The NCAA is OSU's prison girlfriend.
Guy will be there as long as he wants to be there. Money rules over all.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:17 PM ^
You're the PC Police, but "prison girlfriend" is an acceptable metaphor?
I was with you before, but I call bullshit now.
December 16th, 2011 at 2:20 PM ^
Apologies to all those who have been molested in prison. (And yes, there is still a difference between politically incorrect and hate speech, smartass).
December 16th, 2011 at 2:16 PM ^
If someone who actually works on this blog doesn't like it they'll deal with it. If YOU don't like it, ignore it or start your own blog and moderate it however you like.
Until then quit your whiny bitching !!!!!
I think 3 is the right number, but if I had to go over or under I'd add 1 to it. 4 years.
December 16th, 2011 at 10:27 PM ^
You know what's awesome about this blog? People can downvote comments like these so I don't have to read them if I don't want to (and I shouldn't have). Also, you are "bitching" right now. Not bitchin' the complimentary adjective, bitching the verb that you are accusing others of doing..
