Wisconsin in a battle with Penn St. Alabama and Miami coming up next. Oklahoma isn’t putting Tulane away like everyone thought they would.

I find it insane that the hit on Mertz was called targeting but the hit on Joyner last night was not. Are we trying to protect players or do we just want to officiate a specific circumstance.

Not sure why Wisconsin used the timeout. Prior to that dumbass play Penn St would’ve been starting on their own 8 and you had 3 timeouts. You’d have well over a minute and prob around midfield after a Penn St punt

Also Jesus chryst is so stupid, running on second and goal from the 7 and then using a timeout before the 4th down play killing the ability to get the ball back if you didn’t convert

Penn State was also much better than I anticipated, especially on defense. Credit to their coaches for adjusting the offensive gameplan at half...they were gashing the Wisconsin secondary after an abysmal 1st half performance.

But yeah, Wisconsin completely botched that game. They had like 3 or 4 "goal to go" situations that resulted in 0 points and brutal turnovers. Mertz was completely unimpressive. It was a crime that they didn't score at all in the first half after dominating time of possession.

Those turnovers cost them but the fumble when they had first and goal at the end of game killed them though even though they recovered it. Horrible. God I hate Penn State

I'm not sure how Wisconsin could have f*cked those last five minutes any more than they did. Botched snaps, poorly called timeout, etc. At worst, Penn State could have held them on 4th down from the 6 with more than 2 minutes to go and Wisky sitting on 3 timeouts. Then, despite botching that, they still have the ball past midfield with a minute to go.

I can only assume they began drinking at noon, as is Wisconsin tradition.

The Miami DB clearly leads with the top of the helmet on the hit, then acting like he doesn't get it why he's ejected.

I have yet to see Bryce Young make a single difficult throw. Everyone is wide open every play. It’s like they’re playing a high school team.

But honestly, Nick Saban has built it into being that. He has 2 weeks off all year, in June. Otherwise it is all day, all year round for him. He is constantly at improving the team. I don't think any other coach puts the time in like he does. And I don't think any other coach expects as much out of his coaching staff as he does. He expects nothing less than excellence from everyone.

Right, I’m sure it’s that Saban works harder than every other coach and not the fact that he ran the dirtiest program in the country for a decade with zero repercussions and has an overwhelming talent advantage every game.

Maybe they need a wake up call, they lose this week and realize that they can't just mail it in, so the coach's message is taken more seriously, and they play 3x better against OSU?  And they are looking ahead to OSU anyway.  It happens sometimes. So I'm going with that.  Yeah, that's it...
