OT: World Series Game 7 (Nationals at Astros)

Submitted by JamesBondHerpesMeds on October 30th, 2019 at 3:36 PM

I know, this is like five hours early, but I'm getting hyped.

Max Scherzer (YTMS) is taking the mound for Washington after being scratched from a Game 6 start because he could barely move his shoulder. Zach Greinke had a solid outing in Game 3 to kickstart Houston's three straight wins in DC.

Should be an exciting one tonight!

Love baseball and have watched every game hoping for a good Series.  As soon as my wife heard me slightly takes sides with the Astros, she started cheering for The Curly W’s.  We live in Braves country (she’s a Cubs fan).

Go Astros!!  Max’s shoulder will give out before the fourth inning.

BTW, OP, YTMS was scratched from Game 5. Stras was always starting Game 6. I'd say go back and edit that in the OP, but, you can't.

I've got no rooting dog in this fight but I gotta say I am definitely pulling for the Nationals to win this thing.   Not so much because I like them (although I kinda do) but because I really do not like the Astros.

I found it amazing that this is the first game 7 in any major sport where the visiting team has won the first 6 games.  Should be a good one tonight.

will watch.  baseball gets interesting this time of year, and a game 7 is special.

torn on who to root for.  love JV and he had his chance last night.  washington hasn't won it since ever.  made it to the series in 1932 and lost.  always liked scherzer.  might end up rooting for the sens.

For whatever reason the home team's offense has dissappeared in every game of the series. The Astros will have to break the series trend if they want to win.

Confession: I have not watched one single pitch of MLB this year.

But as a sports fan, I'll watch any game 7 of a championship series, so I may break this trend.

Definitely pulling for the Nats, lived in NoVa/DC until 2013 and was at the stadium for that awful game 5 meltdown against the Cards in 2012.

I think the Nats take it, with Strasburg pulling a Randy Johnson and coming in for a key relief out or two the day after throwing over a 100 pitches. Otherwise Max better throw at least 7+, Nats bullpen is about as reliable as Michigan's slant defense last year.

The average baseball fan is 53 years old. Older than any other major sport in America. Such a great game. I really hope the younger generation catches on
