OT: Why not? Saturday drinking thread...let's start early!
Drinking cold water right now. But as soon as I get home it's Martini Time!!
to go out and split wood.....but DAMN!!
Instead i will sit here in the AC and have a glass of Captain Morgans Long Island Iced Tea.
I had to split wood earlier. Thought I was gonna pass out a few times! haha
Why would one split wood in July? Already gearing up for winter? Seems a bit excessively prepared
Speaking only for myself, you split wood now because you want it to cook in the heat to dry it out.
This wood wont be burned for probably 2 or 3 years at the soonest.
And besides...its not much fun to split wood in Dec. or Feb.
No such thing as "excessively prepared" if you burn wood.
Hawaiian Punch, Fruit Juicy Red.
when my kids are of age to be in sports, i'm goin gto have to draft a letter to the coach apologizing and warning them in advance that i'll be his/her worse nightmare.
went to go see my little sisters Highschool bball team. had the kids pressing the entire game, they were so gassed that the other team ran right passed them. Then the ofence consisted of 5 girls standing on the perimeter passing the ball around. and shooting a bad 3.
My sister who was there starting SG improvised a couple nice drives to the basket and was pulled aside to stop show boating...
I was fuming.
Currently having a Homebrew Wheat Pale Ale.
going to be grilling soon...(I know its like 200 out side...but wifey wants steaks) so prolly goin g to switch to some Skeeterpee (a really crisp...and deceptively strong lemon wine)
I'm currently drinking water, but dreaming of an ice cold homemade shandy when I get home.
Leinenkugel sunset wheat. Not the best beer, but quite refreshing on a day like today.. Thankfully cooler temperatures are in store for next week (if you reside in the midwest).
what the heck is bar baseball? I live in GR and this intrigues me.
1 run: light beer
2 runs: heavy beer (5% ABV or higher) or wine
3 runs: mixed drink or girly shot
4 runs: straight shot
Lose runs if you spill your drink or spill someone else's drink or fall at any point of the night.
I'm drinking in the sweet taste of the Tigers being over .500, and another victory over the Royals.
Someone did it to a few other threads too. Lame.
Funny upvotes for everyone, then. Especially Herm (Everyone except those I already voted for, and myself, that is)
I am confined to water and soda for the time being, for as much as I would like to break out a bottle of Strongbow cider right now, it might look bad if Detroit Edison employees were seen drinking on company property. However, I do fully intend to have some Strongbow later.
Yes, I am actually dispatching people to outages as I type on MGoBlog.
Soda??? Come on man it is Pop.... this is Michigan fergodsakes!!!!!
I still call it pop despite the looks I get down here in the South.
It'll be a cold day in hell before I ask for a soda/Coke.

A mix of IPAs, catching up on the news since I was away on vacation for the past week or so. Essentially deadening the constant pain from the sunburn I'm slowly recovering from. The one time you should listen to your wife is about sunscreen.

Lov ya Herm and it’s not the booze talking… why don’t we say this more often??
Sierra Nevada!
Oberon now, Pabst later.
Oberon to Pabst, that's an interesting choice.
Smart choice, sir. I have an uncle who swears by PBR. You know, one of "those" guys. But, because of it, Pabst always has had a soft spot in my heart.
"I don't always drink shitty beer. But when I do, I drink PBR."
(I'm at work and way too lazy ot make that into a meme.)
Maybe it's just me... I've tried PBR on draft and it's not that bad, but in a can it tasted awful!
On a trip through Milwaukee, a few friends and I stopped at what was the Pabst Brewery. It's just a beer hall now with a gift shop and a tour, but it was pretty cool. Naturally, I had to have a Blue Ribbon on draft and it wasn't bad.
Milwaukee is a pretty cool town. It's owned by Miller, but it has a lot of beer history which is pretty cool. And they have a Cheesecake Factory, which means I didn't eat for three days after I left.
Water and reading Catholic history/theology at the moment. Later I will get started on MOAR ESSAYZ and maybe buy a sixer from my local gas station after that.
is finding Great Lakes in even the shittier gas stations. Well, I guess certain Ohio girls top that, but they're rare.
The local station I had in mind actually expanded their liquor selection recently which makes me very happy!
Summer Shandy, been putting these down like water lately.
Sippin' on my own creation of fresh strawberry juice and lemon with a tad bit of honey and sugar while playing borderlands after an extremely intense workout of running hills in 105 degree weather, Nothin like it.
