And what were your thoughts?

The Toy Story franchise is far and away my least favorite Disney creation. I find Woody and Buzz to be unpleasant, and I generally like Tom Hanks and Bruce Willis as actors. Luckily for me my kids feel the same way and have no interest in seeing this iteration. Apologies for being a downer about this. I just feel some kind of way about those two.

Honestly it went way away from what the original story line was and characters were completely different (I know I know it’s a movie about talking toys). Just a shame I think.

I guess I'm in the minority here.  I loved it and choked up at the end.  I loved the creepy ventriloquist dolls.  The animation was so well done as is always the case with Pixar.  The story was pretty good.  I have the AMC A-List so I get 3 movies a week for 20 bucks so I'll definitely see it again.

I saw it, and was underwhelmed. I'm a huge Pixar fan (an "adult" with no children). But, I was not impressed. I loved The Incredibles 2 (and most other Pixar features), but this, in my opinion, came nowhere close. The creepy dolls and other second-rate characters (the brightly colored carnival prizes), left me distracted and not impressed with this outting from the giant, now Disney-owned venture.

I'm typically a Pixar lover, and growing up a Toy Story fan, 10 when the first feature was revealed, I thought I was going to be a believer, it just did not impress me much. Good for a kids movie, maybe even great, but NOT great for a Pixar movie.I give it a 79/100.

Typical kids movie plot. Kind of thought they tried too hard to throw in some women’s empowerment. Jesse is all of a sudden the main toy, and wears the sheriff badge. Bo Peep is all of a sudden a bad ass that saves the day. Movie was pretty boring, but had an unexpected ending.

It just wasn’t a good movie altogether. Other than a few great looking animation scenes, I don’t recall anything that stood out. They did Buzz a disservice by him just pushing his own buttons the whole freaking movie. Really? Should’ve just watched John Wick 3 again.

I enjoyed it.  I like that they made a movie about wondering why you exist for a movie that really shouldn't exist.  Metaexistentialism.

Also, this movie actually remembered to have jokes involved.  Key and Peele worked well and had me laughing very hard at a number of points.

I thought it was pretty good. After they perfectly wrapped things up in Toy Story 3, I thought this one was really unnecessary. It at least didn’t really diminish the ending of 3, and they gave it a fairly satisfactory conclusion that (once again) felt like the end of the franchise. One thing I didn’t like was how so many members of the original gang barely played a role.
