OT- Valentine's Day @ White Castle
Listening to 97.1 this morning and they were talking about how White Castle gets all fancy for Valentines Day. Candle lit dinners, table clothes, the whole deal i guess and they take reservations. Anyone do this before? I might bring my girl there as a joke..."Hunny get all dressed up, we are going somewhere real nice" or better yet someone can take the accounting department manager lady there, Im sure it will end scoring a TD.

"better yet someone can take the accounting department manager lady there, Im sure it will end scoring a TD."
Brilliant.
But really, my friend did this and said it was pretty fun(ny). I may do this too! My gf wants to go see Valentine's day... :(

I would rather see Valentines Day then endure another Twilight movie with that Edward Tranny.

bad idea. That trip to white castle might be your last meal. do you really want to die with sliders in your belly?

you will be shot if that is your actual meal.
However, if you go there, eat a burger or 2, leave, and then go to a romantic dinner, I think the joke may go over well (this depends on your lady).

I can't think of a better way to die...

A lot of McDonalds do this as well. They actually do a nice job with it usually, as McD's have a lot of leeway in how they decorate their individual buildings.

I live in Chicago and just listened to two people get married at White Castle on the radio. I would have preferred TBell.

Here where I live the local radio station has partnered up with some retailers to provide a "white wedding". They drew a name out of a list of contestants and the winners get their wedding completely furnished with rings and the dress and tux. It includes evertything the girl would want for her dream wedding. The rings are valued at 5000 dollars and the dress is like 2000. The catch is that the ceremony is at a White Castle this Sunday on Valentines day! And yes they also play "White Wedding" by Billy Idol at the ceremony.

Yes, I heard the same thing about the White Castle Wedding in Chicago. It is called the Wedding in a Week put on by B96. It was actually amazing to hear how many people and companies donated free stuff (tuxes, limos, rings, dresses, bachelor and bachelorette parties, etc) in a span of a week.
Interesting concept.

Before my dad's cancer (throat cancer--- had most of his swallowing muscles excised), my mom and dad would go to this every other year and said it was very well done and cute. They're native Detroiters/Hamtramckganders so White Castle type places have a special place in their heart since that's what they grew up with. They've said that it's the exact same food, but usually each store has a guy dressed up in a tuxedo as the maitre 'd adn there's really white linen tableclothes and white linen napkins. I would say that if you're in a _really_ good relationship and can afford to take a year off so to speak (aka you blew $200+ last year on teh Ruth's Chris and broadway show), the W.C. may be a good laugh it off, 'though you're going to basically have to write off sex for that night. And maybe the next day.

I'll bet that's where Roy Williams is taking his date. In fact, it's a given.

Isn't White Castle where Rick Pitino cheated on his wife?
