We played Colorado and Colorado St. in the same year.

'89 we played UCLA and USC in the same year.

...both of those happened because of bowls. It was really hard to do with only 3 non-conference games and ND always being one of them. And then if you go back to the 80's we played 9 conference games and only 2 non-conference games.

However in 1983 we opened with Washington and Washington St. back to back.

Maybe I'm missing something. How are they different from previous helmets? Is the red face mask new? I thought their helmets were already red. Either way, I think they look good.

Man. I could care less about their helmets but is this first game going to be a HUGE measuring stick for success for 2015 or what!? I feel like if we can just find a way to win against Utah ... we get early momentum ... build confidence.. oil the machine ... And possibly slay a giant or two in the second half of the season.

Apparently he caught a glimpse of the down marker behind him and mistook the line of scrimmage marker for the upfield first down marker. His dad told us that the coaching staff was pretty pissed at him until after he went back into the game, then they game him a ton of [poop] about it on the flight back to SLC.
