OT: Tigers vs. Indians open thread/Drinking thread

This Tigers' offense is off to another fast start today. Gose hit a leadoff homer, and then Kinsler later came in to score. 2-0 Tigers going into the bottom of the 1st. With Price on the mound this is looking good so far! Eat 'em up Tigers!

I'm enjoying a great local double IPA offering from Orpheus called Transmigration of Souls while watching the game. Lots of citrus and it drinks like a lower abv beer despite being 10%.

I'll be the first to admit my pessimism in regards the Tigers' pitching and injury questions before the season, but as long as we have pitchers that will step up and everyone can stay relatively healthy, watch out.

P.S. Excuse me while I start to eat my words.

Yeah, I am loving how we are seeing the power guys not going for it all but shorting their swing to make sure they make contact and put the ball in play. The announcer of the broadcast I was watching today mentioned Miggy being in 'emergancy stance' not lifting his lead foot and concentrating on making contact. From that point on I paid more attention and noticed the whole lineup was more focued on making contact rather than going for fence.

had a feeling cabrera'd get his first dinger with a lefty up today.

This lineup is murder against left handers.
