OT: Tiger Is On The Move
Tiger has birdied 16 and 17 and is now at even par and 5 off the lead. He broke out a fist pump a moment ago. It would be weird if he wins the US Open on Father's Day. Here's the leaderboard:
that putt on 17 was vintage.
He just put his drive behind that tree....
.... Just Kidding... the next shot he put on the green...
He's baaaackkkkk
For some reason when I drive to a spot where a tree is twenty yards ahead of me, directly betweeen me and the green, and I'm 265 from the green, I never seem to end up on the green, never mind near the pin. I'm beginning to think Tiger's a hell of a golfer.
This is pretty sick, the ladies are going to be all over him tonight.
Too soon?
beautiful back nine, absolutely beautiful!
was amazing..he'll be within 2 starting tommorow.
negged for an opinion..awesome!
Saying "He'll be within two" comes off as a statement. Saying " I think he'll be within two" sounds less douchey. And he'll most likely be 4 back.
think Johnny MIller is god-awful?
IMHO he is the best announcer in golf, hands down. A sure indicator of how good he is...the number of players who don't like him for "telling it like it is".
I wish NBC had the Masters...deliver me from the banality of Jim Nantz
Couldn't believe it when I saw it. He wasn't looking great earlier, but he sure turned that around. I think Tiger could really use a win about now, especially on Father's Day.
I called Tiger winning this tournament before it started. Then again, I've done that with everyone he's played in since his comeback, just so I look brilliant when he finally wins.
you made a prediction??? be prepared to be negged to all hell. Apparently it offends people.
But what really pisses people off is when people bitch about being negged... twice in one thread no less
Don't talk about mgopoints.
You have some work to do figuring out how this all works
If Tiger wins, which i hope he does, i think that 2nd shot on 18 will go down as one of the greatest shots in history. It might anyway. That was an incredible golf shot. It was good to see him getting fired up again. Also, Dustin Johnson is a damn good golfer and can bomb it. I look forward to great final round.
the big thing to see there is Tiger's passion coming back
FINALLY
Friday night, I talked to a fringe tour player who spent a half hour telling me that Tiger would never win again. He may or may not win today, but he certainly is showing that he still has a little game left.
Dustin Johnson is a fine player; like Tiger, he is long and has a great short game. He was a three-time All-American at Costal Carolina; that usually indicates some potential. I guess the dissappointing Charles Howell has made the media wary of hyping great college players when they hit the tour. I am one of those who usually cheers for Tiger, but I won't be the least bit disappointed to see Johnson win.
At any rate, it is setting up to be an exciting finish. And, to be honest, as long as the winner has a US flag by his name, I'm OK with whoever wins.
He's won the last 2 times at the AT&T at Pebble and has been really striking it well. Tiger will likely need to back up his 66 with another 66 or 67 in order to win.
Gonna be great to watch.
I am your father. Well not really, but I did bang your mom.
