OT: Thor Comic Con Trailer!
Don't know that Brandon Graham being Thor makes this on topic, but it's pretty cool nonetheless.
Do you mean Will Campbell?

But that works too. Our whole defensive line can be the Avengers.
Pretty bad ass. I also cannot wait for Captain America and the Avengers with Thor, Ironman, Capt. America, the Hulk, Nick Fury, and the Black Widow.
They showed a (very!) brief shot of Evans in the suit, and I thought it looked pretty goofy. However, they did say that they were still in the process of doing "costume rehearsals".
He also doesn't seem serious enough for the role. We'll see, I guess.
Or just the art mock up, like this?-
I don't know how the wings would translate, but I miss them.
But beyond being too silly, which is right, he doesn't have the gravitas to play it. I mean, this is supposed to be the ultimate man who can order around a billionaire and a GOD. And have them believably listen. And maybe more importantly for this, believably have Robert Downey Jr. listen to what he has to say (and not snicker).
I probably would have skewed older...Jon Hamm, or Aaron Eckhart, somebody like that. Or if you're going to go younger for the War, and don't care about acting (which it seems they don't)..Paul Walker looks like the blonde all American.
It was actual video footage panning up from his boots to his helmet/mask. It just looked unfinished to me.
Aaron Eckhart would have been a fantastic choice, but only if he bulked up quite a bit.
I should also mention that they showed us a clip of Hugo Weaving as a German soldier that was pretty intriguing. He plays the Red Skull. (Admittedly, I don't know that much about the Captain America storyline.)
But that was photoshopped. It's a combo of Mr. Smith from the Matrix and the Nazi uniform from Dead Snow.
Not sure if this is sarcasm, but it was a four or five minute clip of the movie.
I'm getting the feeling that it was sarcasm, though. Maybe my detector is faulty.
But this isn't what they saw at the convention...they saw the real Marvel presentation.

Terribly sorry about that. I read pic instead of clip.
This is the one I was talking about.
What were those scientist doing with the t-virus?
God i'm such a nerd.
I completely agree with you. Eckhart and Hamm just have that mature, four star Army general feeling about them. Evans is too X games, which is perfect if you are the Human Torch.
I am not worried at all about this....
I was one of the nerds in attendance at ComicCon last weekend. After the Thor panel, they brought out the entire cast of the Avengers - Downey Jr., ScarJo, Sam Jackson, Chris Evans, etc. It was pretty cool to see them all up on stage. There was a huge nerdgasm that wasn't reported on tv. Joss Whedon was with them, too.
EDIT: Also, for those who aren't keeping up with casting news, Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) is set to play Hawkeye, and Mark Ruffalo is the new Bruce Banner now that Ed Norton is out.
Though a cocky Bradley Cooper had come to mind (since he lost out on GL...but that's a whole other thread, for another place)... Ruffalo..eh. See if he can come off as genius, rather than doofus. But then, I'm not thinking Banner is getting that much screen time in this one. I liked Norton. But could see someone like David Tennant .
Asgard, bitches, Asgard.
was quite simply a chapter in my artistic development. I actually met Walt Simonson in Baltimore a few years ago, but never had a chance to thank the dude. Story for another day...
But his run was definitely the definitive take on Thor.
...Thor was by far my favorite comic book. I've been waiting for this movie for a long time.
FYI The footage shown for the Captain America "trailer" was rough because well, it was. Filming had only begun on Captain America 4 days prior to the Comic Con trailer, so rough very early footage was edited together for this particular piece. I'll wait to reserve my judgement till I see the finished product (much like recruiting).
Beta Ray Bill?
