OT: Rob Bolden transfers again, heading to EMU
For those interested, MLive has a more detailed article on this, with quotes from EMU's coach.
"You are not."
"Bolden's presence immediately bolsters Eastern Michigan's depth at the position, and gives the coaching staff a second player at the position with some experience."
Yeah, from the games involving Bolden that I've watched, I am going to go ahead and say this is most definitely true. It is sort of interesting that he came home to find this sort of opportunity too. Certainly not a bad find for Eastern Michigan at all.
I remember the discussions of Gardner or Bolden ... I liked both at the time but i am glad it worked out the way it did.
and thought the opposite. He looked terrible everytime I see him play. He has potential, but he was not good at all.
I have no idea what the football term "wasonile" means ;)
think this is the last little bit EMU needed to be able to beat UF, cuz I'm gonna be at that game and it would be AWESOME!!!!!
Their RB Bronson Hill is on the Doak Walker watch list. They might be actually be good on offense
They've got an OL on a watchlist too. That may say more about the lists than the players, however.
...with Shav Beaver.
Boisture ended up @ MSU and had to retire due to chronic back issues IIRC.
I always felt bad for Bolden....I think he got the wrong advice about him being ready to start as a freshman. If I'm not mistaken OLSM is and will always be a run first wishbone offense. I rarely remember seeing Bolden ever throw the ball and at PSU it never felt like he took a step forward even though he started as a freshman.
I hope he can find a way to close out his career on a positive note at EMU though. With all those transfers you hope he finds a level in his career and does well.
