Maybe here?
Toward the end, the two guys doing the “synchronized swimming”
How Mel Brooks got the two biggest Alpha Dogs in Hollywood circa 1974 to do that is a testament to his genius, as well their sense of humor…
I think they are swimming together in the water at the end of the clip.
You might be thinking of Mel Brooks' Silent Movie.
Just completed The Offer,in it he really beat the crap out of “Carlo” who apparently was douche in real life and really roughed up Carla or Talia.
Great actor. Of course I have to mention another of his movie credits - El Dorado with John Wayne and Robert Mitchum. RIP "Mississippi".
He was a Sparty. Tried out for the football team but didn't make it. I don't think he graduated from MSU.
RIP Mr Caan 🙏
A legendary actor who will be remembered forever 👍
Remember watching Brian's Song in high school as my English teacher was in the crowd shots filmed at nd stadium.
He was a very interesting guy:
Caan was born in The Bronx on March 26, 1940, the son of Sophie (née Falkenstein) and Arthur Caan, Jewish immigrants from Germany. His father was a meat dealer and butcher. One of three siblings, Caan grew up in Queens. He was educated in New York City, and later attended MSU and was a member of the Alpha Epsilon Pi fraternity during his two years there. At MSU, he wanted to play football but was unable to make the team. He later transferred to Hosftra but never graduated. His classmates at Hofstra included Francis Ford Coppola and Lainie Kazan.
While studying at Hofstra University, however, he became intrigued by acting and was interviewed for, accepted to, and graduated from New York City's Neighborhood Theatre, where he studied for five years. One of his instructors was Sanford Meisner.
"I just fell in love with acting", he later recalled. "Of course all my improvs ended in violence."
And that's how it all started...
A U-M connection to both James Caan and “The Godfather.” In the scene where Sonny is beating the hell out of Carlo, there are some campaign posters on the windows for Thomas Dewey - a U-M grad and former Michigan Daily editor.
RIP, Sonny.
The Killer Elite

Damn. Literally watched The Godfather yesterday. Rip Santino.
